keystone xl

  • Question:-Why are Conservatives trying to portray the job-killing Keystone XL pipeline as a job creator?
The construction phase of the Keystone XL pipeline will mean temporary construction jobs, but once construction is complete it will only require a staff of approximately 120 workers to keep the pipeline operating. Furthermore, completion of the pipeline will mean the loss of thousands of trucking and railroad jobs, and lead to an increase in fuel prices in North America.

The Keystone XL Pipeline is not a job creator, it's a job destroyer, so why are Republicans behind the 8-ball on this one and swallowing everything TransCanada tells them?

    Answer:-Because they are stupid.
  • Question:-Why is the Keystone XL Pipeline a Bad Idea?
Why is it a bad idea to extract fuel from the tar ands and transport it south? I've heard the project to be considered one of the dirtiest projects on earth, and there are international groups strongly opposing the idea. I just want to know why this is.

Also, if you have an extra second, can you clarify what the Keystone Pipeline actually is? All I know is that it runs from Canada where the tar sands are to the Gulf of Mexico... I think. Thanks!
It sounds like a good idea to me too, but how come it's got everyone all stirred up?

Answer:-I don't believe that it is a bad idea. It serves as a means of transporting a valuable energy source from source to market.
  • Question:-Why did House Republicans add the Keystone XL rider to the payroll tax renewal bill?
Everyone can see what a blatant political game they are playing here. So the question is why did they play it?
Is this really what the call governing?

    Answer:-Same old shi4... Obstructionism.
  • Question:-Why build the Keystone XL pipeline when we have excellent railroads operating over the same territory?
The Canadian, UP and BNSF railways haul unit tank car trains and they have proved they can move large quanitys of coal from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. By adding 13 unit trains per day they could handle the proposed 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Answer:-Because a pipeline is a cheaper method of transporting liquids over long distances. A pipeline can pump liquids continually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Question:-How come Republican Governors don't want the Keystone XL Pipeline anywhere near their state?
how bad is it for the environment?

is it worth the temporary 6k jobs?

would you want in your state near your water?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Why won't Republicans take responsibility for the rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline?
Republicans forced the issue by giving Obama only 60 days to review the pipeline's impact on the environment, which isn't enough time, so he erred on the side of environment over Big Oil.

If it had more time, the administration could have developed a new route that had a lot less environmental risk.

But, of course, the GOP won't take responsibility.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Why are Conservatives trying to paint the Keystone XL pipeline as a Unions versus Environmentalists story and?
completely ignoring the states rights issues involved in the environmental review process of a project of this size? Even if Obama had issued a permit it wouldn't have been binding because it would have been deemed a violation of the states rights doctrine and ruled to be an unenforceable permit.

Is this more of the Republican strategy of "Just keep repeating the lie and hope that people start to believe it"?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Why did the House republicans attach the Keystone XL Canada-to-Texas pipeline project to the payroll tax cuts?
One has nothing to do with the other, so why not just vote on a straight payroll tax cut with no strings attached?

Answer:-This is how laws are passed in this country (no matter which party is in power). Wording that has nothing to do with the title of the bill up for discussion is added and buried in the hopes too few will read the full bill and see it. Usually this pork is added to bills that are important and congress wants to pass quickly, this gives the unrelated wording more of a chance to be over looked.

Personally, I'm 100% behind legislating a one bill one issue policy. It would slow things down and force members of congress to be fully accountable for the laws they are purposing.
  • Question:-How come Obama opposes creating real shovel ready jobs with the Keystone XL Pipeline?
How come Obama is against helping the working class middle man? How come Obama is against being independent from his Muslim Brotherhood of Oil barons

Answer:-Because cheaper oil makes it harder to create false demand for green-scheme energy.
  • Question:-Keystone XL creates almost no jobs. Why are union leaders, which support 0bama, too stupid to realize that no?
.... jobs will be created by the Keystone XL pipeline?

Are all Democrats or just most Democrats that stupid?

--- It is supported by AFL-CIO, Teamsters, IBEW, Jimmy Hoffa, etc.
Are those unions, their leaders, and their members all just a complete bunch of idiots for supporting something that creates almost no jobs ?
Don't you love when Liberal environmentalists imply union members and union leaders who want the pipeline built are a bunch of idiots ?

    Answer:-
