republican debate

  • Question:-republican debate?
when is the republican debate? did i miss it?

Answer:-There are numerous debates. Last week, there was a "Value Voters" debate (which didn't include the boring microphone hogs that the media laughingly calls "top-tier candidates") in which Ron Paul referred to Jesus as the "Prince of Peace," called for the US to leave the UN and all other Globalist organizations, and refused to support certain unconstitutional parts of the Christian Right's agenda. The other "2nd tier" candidates pandered to the Christian Right.
  • Question:-....Republican Debate?
Is there any way I can re watch the republican debate (9/7/11) again online? I couldn't watch it because I had football.

Answer:-It's on YouTube (of course! Where else?)

It's in four parts. This is the first part.

  • Question:-How has the Republican Debate been significant to Australia, shaping the nation's history?
I found this question to be very confusing and I would love some help. The whole question is "How has the Republican Debate been significant to Australia, shaping the nation's history? Will it continue to influence the history of Australia?"

I think the desired answer might be something like:

The republican debate has been significant to Australia, dominating politics, causing a referendum......etc. It will likely continue to shape the nation into the future as the debate has not been settled yet.

    Please help me.

Answer:-You asked the question and you are confused by your own question?

Republicanism in Australia has been around since the Irish were brought here in ball and chain during the first fleet in 1788.

The issue of Republicanism will never die out whilst there are Irish catholics living and breathing in Australia.

The catholics are all republicans after all a Roman Caesar is the head of the Papist church and not a Papist leader in Jerusalem where you'd really think that the son of man, the saviour Christ, ought to have his manifested prophet as the Pope as resident in on Earth, and not in the Vatican City, within Italy.

Only a Roman Emperor would live in the Vatican City.

As for Anglo-Saxon Protestants well, the head of the commonwealth is the British monarch, an ex-communicated monarch with her own head of the church being the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Church of England.

The denial of Catholics as being a head of an anglo-saxon nation within the commonwealth of nations has been predetermined since the Ascension edict of 1701 during the reign of Queen Anne. Her edict will deny forever a papist from ascension into Buckingham Palace. The Hanoverian monarchs have irrefutably denied all former Norman monarchs, mainly Papist as well, from ascension into the British royal families.

The desire for Australians to become a republic is as difficult to articulate to mainly WASPish majority living in Australia. People are too well entrenched with traditions and history.

The greatest threat to mainly WASPS, and protestant Pacific Islanders, is the fear of Filipino Catholics in the region. There is over 80 million catholics in South East Asia, this is frightening for Protestants in Australia and everywhere in Oceania. There is a great number of Philipines migrating into Australia per annum supported by the Catholic church which is so frightening for all Australians.
  • Question:-Why is the cable company refusing to put Republican Debate on the Menu for tonights debate?
Last month NBC had on their menu a Republican Debate that didn't exist , wasn't even a scheduled to be a debate. Now when there is a real DEBATE- people don't know about it because the Cable company didn't inform them on their menu's! Is the Cable Company commies now? Insight? Comcast?

Answer:-The FCC is trying to reduce the amount of violent programming.
  • Question:-Why did the Republican front runners decline to participate in debate?
Covenant with Black America moderated by Tavis Smiley, had a Democratic debate with ALL of the Democratic nominees, televised on June 28 at Howard University. YES they all showed up and I heard their position and plans for many issues surrounding hard working Americans. However, The Republican debate is set for September 27 at Morgan State University and these alleged front runners have declined to participate: Rudy Guiliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney & Fred Thompson.
This is ONE more reason for Republicans NOT to get my VOTE....they are not concerned with the issues involving not just African Americans, but People of Color in general and the hard working people who carry this country. Do Republicans believe they can continute to ignore the People and push their own agendas - and we won't push back? Any intelligent comments out there?
The only way for Republicans & Democrats to HEAR the PEOPLE is to address those who can't afford to pay $1000 per plate fund raisers. It appears Covenany with Black America is the only venue I've seen offering debates for both parties to address issues surrounding the common American. I'm not making this a race thing - you assume I am - I can but won't go there......so have you seen any Republicans speak to a predominately black, hispanic, native american or asian crowd? Even in the media? I haven't seen any other scheduled debates (Fox or otherwise) that was turned down by either party so if you know of any, please advise and I will definitely check it out.....Oh wait - our Hispanic community tried to organize a debate and got no response so they cancelled. Any others?

Answer:-Maybe those Republicans don't feel that everything has to be turned into a race issue.

edit: why did Obama being one of the Democrats front runners decline their recent debate in Iowa....along with others. Was it because of the mostly White elderly crowd.
  • Question:-Where is the exact location for the September 22 Republican debate?
The Republican presidential candidates are supposed to be coming to Orlando, Florida on Thursday, September 22 to have another debate. I've searched everywhere, and can't find an exact address for it, because I would like to go.

So, where is it, what time does it start, and how could I get in to see it in person?

    Thanks.

    Answer:-Orange County Convention Center
  • Question:-Would you rather watch the Republican debate or a rerun episode of Family Guy?
I remember when republican Gov. Snyder here in Michigan would only have a debate in the daytime when most are at work. But I guess the Republican base the retired can`t stay up until 7pm.

Answer:-I hate Family Guy. American Dad is even worse.

    I'll watch the GOP debates.
  • Question:-Fellow Democrats: are you also itching to see the Republican nominee face Obama in a debate?
I saw that Republican debate the other night and there was no one on that stage who could go toe to toe with Obama. When you take a Conservatwit out of their cocoon and force them to face the glaring lights of reality they crumple like paper dolls.

Which of the Republican candidates from the other night do you think would humiliate themselves most blatantly in a debate with Obama?

    Answer:-That'd be sweet.
  • Question:-What was the republican debate about?
What happened in the republican debate in Las Vegas last night? Who did it involve? What were topics of discussion? What happened?

Answer:-Maybe about who can make themselves the most un-electable in the general election.

Keep in mind that Obama care is approved of by more than 50% of Americans, they're falling all over themselves to say they'll repeal it.

Keep in mind that people aren't buying stuff, they're falling all over themselves saying that the rich need more tax cuts to create jobs, to build stuff, that people aren't buying.

The tea party wants to nominate the candidate that is least acceptable to independents in the general election.
  • Question:-Republican DEBATE?
I'm Canadian, but as you know we are greatly interested in who becomes the next President. I have to say, I was completely disappointed with Mitt Romney. Very Unpresidential behaviour, acting defensive, and getting upset...I suppose Huckabee in an Andy Griffith sort of way would make a Great President if this was 1955 or something..
Mccain seems like a friggin psyco. The two candidates on the ends obviously aren't in the running. Fred Thompson seems like the same guy as he does on TV. Juliani is too short to be President. That leaves Ron Paul.

its very odd that when the Dems were having their debate, everyone was cheering like crazy when the candidates were saying they will bring the troops home, yet when he suggested it, he was booed, and Mccain compared him to Hitler!!!!

Answer:-Here is how I ranked them.

1.Mike Huckabee - witty, well-prepared, and compassionate and would unite us! He is the man for the job! Death penalty skate, but I understand why!
2.John McCain - affirmed that he is the a well respected veteran and would Lead well.
3.Mitt Romney - bickering with Rudy made him look petty; comments on torture made him seem wise and made McCain seem cold and on the attack! Comments on Confederate flag non-issue.
4.Ron Paul - didn't respond well to McCain's attacks; rant about North American Union conspiracy made him seem too extreme.
5.Duncan Hunter – Faired well, not much time, but all answers were good! He would be a great VEEP to Huckabee!
6.Tom Tancredo – Good on one issue: Immigration, but he ranks high on my candidate calculator, so candidate for VEEP too!
7.Fred Thompson - not heard from very much, seemed poorly prepared and confused. Not very articulate and disappointing. Sounded like he was trying out for VEEP.
8.Rudy Giuliani - bickering with Romney made him look petty, if I have to listen to his stats about NY one more time, I will PUKE!

    VOTE TO KEEP AMERICA SAFE!

epstein

  • Question:-Do all Epstein - Barr virus infected people eventually become carriers for the rest of their lives?
My dad has question about the Epstein - Barr virus. Do all Epstein - Barr virus infected people eventually become carriers for the rest of their lives? If not, do they have antibodies against the virus and become immune permanently? What percentage become carriers or create immunity? What are the chances of the positive EB virus developing into nasopharyngeal carcinoma?

    Thanks!

Answer:-Wow – I believe you have actually asked a much more complicated and difficult-to-answer question than you may be aware of.
The short answer is: NPC from EBV infection is multifactorial with a well documented ethnogeographic distribution (even if the exact multi-causes are not known).

If one is born and lives in the West where NPC is quite rare then the risk of NPC relates to tobacco exposure and solid organ transplant (with its required immunosuppressive drugs) and really not at all to EBV.

While rare in most parts of the world, NPC is endemic in southern China, southeast Asia, north Africa, and the artic, The major etiological factors for endemic NPC are genetic susceptibility, early-age exposure to chemical carcinogens (eg, salted fish), and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. (ref)

    Does that help?
  • Question:-What is Epstein-Barr? How can it really be a disease if everyone has it?
I heard that 95% of people have something called the Epstein-Barr virus. I've read up on it and still don't really understand what it is -- its related to herpes and mono and may cause lymphoma?

What is the deal with this disease? What are the symptoms? Do people have the disease their whole life? Please elucidate the particulars.

Answer:-There are no symptoms unless the immune system weakens and the disease takes over. Doctors order an Epstein-Barr titer when they suspect mononucleosis. I have never heard that we harbor this virus but don't discount it.
  • Question:-What is epstein barr virus in SIMPLE WORDS?
My boyfriend just found out he has epstein barr virus but our College's Health Center told him it is not contagious. Is that true? Does this mean he had mono before? He's been very tired and sick for about 6 weeks and about 7 weeks ago the Health Center thought I had mono.

Answer:-Epstein-Barr is contageous !!! Is is form of the Herpes virus and is the parent virus to a whole host of other viruses in the same family. Here is a link to explain allot more. Best Wishes.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epstein-Barr_virus
  • Question:-Can onset recurrence of Epstein Barr / Chronic Mono come in waves of symptoms?
I have Epstein Barr / Chronic Mono and have been in remission but am feeling ill again. Is possible for the symptoms to return in sporadic intervals or am I coming down with something else?

Answer:-I have Chronic Mono and sometimes it affects me in a lesser scale than a full flare-up. Of course we can't be sure that mono is the cause but I believe it is. Ever since I got mono 10 years ago I seem to get sicker quicker and more than other people do - I know this because I work in a small room with 8 people and illness always spreads through our team (fun, right!?)

However, you might be getting something else so if you are getting something with runny nose or chest congestion you should go to the doctor. They can look in your nose and throat to see what's going on better than we can at home. And, if you work or go to school, it's good to get a doctor visit documented in case you need to take a leave of absence.

I hope you feel better soon!
  • Question:-How to get an E-mail Address of Theo Epstein?
I'm a college student looking to get career advice on how to become a successful General Manager in baseball. Does anyone know Mr. Epstein's e-mail adress?

Answer:-You could ask about emailing the team either by calling (877) REDSOX9 or sending a message through this link...
  • Question:-What are the symptoms of Epstein Barr Virus?
My doctor just told me I have Epstein Barr virus. What symptoms can I expect?

Answer:-Extreme tiredness, and feelings of depression. It's a long, hard road, but there is an end to it. Feel better soon xx
  • Question:-Is there a connection between Epstein-Barr Virus and Fibromyalgia and where can I find information?
I was diagnosed with EBV 10 years ago and got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Depression 5 yrs ago-is there a connection and if so where can I obtain information.

    If anyone can help-Thank You!

    Answer:-Is there a connection? No.

Here's one reason why. EBV only lasts in the body for no more than 2 years and that's in severe cases. Most people only have it for about 6 months.

There's no way you could've had it 5 years ago muchless now. Once the body overcomes EBV - or any virus - it builds antibodies to protect itself. You are not at risk for contracting it again.

Initially it was believed that EBV was connected somehow to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but they are two completely different illnesses. The bottom line is that EBV is really just an expanded version of mono - they are both herpes viruses.

    http://www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/fibromyalgia/fibrofs.htm

That's a good place to learn more about Fibromyalgia. It is *not* a form of arthritis, just a relative. I'd love to elaborate but I've got to be a good answer fairy and keep it movin. Ask a specialist if you have further questions.

    Best wishes.
  • Question:-How likely is it that Theo Epstein goes to Chicago to be the new GM for the Chicago Cubs?
In percents, what do you think the odds realistically are and why?

Answer:-I used to think all Yankees fans were scumbags, but after viewing some of the gems that Eric clown has posted I'm now convinced that they're just brain-dead.

To answer the question, while I don't have much confidence in Tom Rickett's ability to evaluate GM candidates, Epstein would be the man to turn the franchise around quickly. He'd have the payroll flexibility that Hendry sacrificed for fading pseudo-stars and he has the ability to evaluate talent and negotiate contracts that Hendry lacked.
I think the Cubs chances of bringing Theo to the North Side are slightly better than there shot at signing Pujols, about 60-40. If they get Epstein, their chances of signing Pujols increase.
  • Question:-Can epstein barr virus cause mouth sores?
I have epstein barr virus and have been getting a lot of mouth sores (canker sores) lately but i dont have herpes.

Answer:-My husband has many medical issues and anyone could give you advice. Some helpful. Others teasing, jeering, making fun. And just plain mean. This is not something to laugh at. I think this is something that you should see a doctor.
  • Question:-What if Brian Epstein never decided to wander into the Cavern to see The Beatles?

Answer:-I KNOW!! IF JOHN WAS SICK ONE DAY OR PAUL DECIDED TO GO A DIFFRENT WAY HOME FROM SCHOOL OR IF RINGO GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL A MINUTE EARLYER!! WHT IF GEORGE STOPED TO LOOK AT A RROCK WELL HE WAS WALKING!! THAT COULD HAVE CHANGE THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT!! SCRAY HUHH!!! LOL HAHA

jan brewer

  • Question:-Will AZ Gov Jan Brewer ever apologize if the murderer of the Arizona Rancher turns out to be a US Citizen?
Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer was quick to blame the murder of Robert Krentz on an illegal Mexican. She used this case to spark the controversy of asking for troops at the border. To this day, they still don't have any leads or witnesses. So if this murder ever turned out to be one committed by a US Citizen, would she ever apologize?

Answer:-NO!.....if she can lie about her father's death, you can bet she'll keep lying about this case.

    http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/az-gov-jan-brewer-lies-about-her-fathers-death/question-1042273/
AZ Gov. Jan Brewer lies ... about her father's death

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is so upset that some have invoked Godwin's Law when discussing her state's new Latino ethnic cleansing law.

"The Nazi comments . . . they are awful," she said, her voice dropping. "Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that . . . and then to have them call me Hitler's daughter. It hurts. It's ugliness beyond anything I've ever experienced."

Compelling! Except that she's pulling a Mark Kirk.

Gov. Jan Brewer said in a recent interview that her father died fighting Nazis in Germany. In fact, the death of Wilford Drinkwine came 10 years after World War II had ended.
  • Question:-is jan brewer a secret democrat given her recent efforts to destroy the republican party?
given jan brewer's party affiliation and her rise in popularity with the anti-American faction of the republican party, it would appear obvious that her real goal is to destroy the GOP from within by anchoring the party down to values which have long been rejected by a more evolved America as decidedly un-American. what say you? is she sincere in her stupidity? or is this a plan to turn America and the world against the republican party?

Answer:-When she was Secretary of State in AZ she managed to disqualify 100,000 registered voters with Hispanic names. (None of them were prosecuted for voter fraud.) She is intent on keeping Democrats from voting far more than she's trying to stop illegal immigration.

    http://www.truthout.org/greg-palast-behind-immigration-law-video59306
  • Question:-Why does Jan Brewer say decapitated bodies are always turning up in the desert, but the Coroner says other?
    wise?

Is Jan Brewer putting the bodies in the desert herself but they just haven't been found yet?

Answer:-That's the Mexican side of the desert. We get burned bodies in alleys and fields here in Az.
  • Question:-Does it surprise anyone that Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona has had increasing poll numbers?
since the Immigration debate went Viral and Obama decided to sue her state? Would it be to her advantage to invite Obama to another round of "WHO DO YOU LOVE"?

A new Rasmussen survey of the Arizona governor's race is out this morning, and the results look good for Republican Gov. Jan Brewer. The poll shows Brewer up 56%-37% over Democratic state Attorney General Terry Goddard.

Answer:-I'd want a governor who is willing to stand up to Obama, regardless of where I stand on the issue.

The fact that I agree with her helps even more.
  • Question:-What would the 2012 election outcome be if Gov. Jan Brewer ran for president?
The 2012 presidential debates would include questions. 0bama has thus far refused to take questions from the press for over one year. Bush was not afraid to take on the press like 0bama is. It seems that 0bama lives in a bubble and that his promise of transparency is yet one more 0bama lie, Would Gov. Jan Brewer obliterate 0bama in a presidential debate?

    What is your opinion?

Answer:-She would be sworn in in 2013 as the first woman president! As she would have wiped the stage with 0bama during the debates
  • Question:-Is AZ Gov. Jan Brewer just making it harder for people to come here legally?
The new law (SB1070) now makes it a felony to be here illegally, and one of the questions in the Visa process is if you have been convicted of a felony. If the answer is Yes, you are shot down immediately. So does that meant that Jan Brewer's plan is to keep more immigrants from coming here legally to?

Answer:-That's the good ol' Republican plan. Deport and stop as many Mexicans as you can while ruining your own economy.
  • Question:-Should Arizona build a monument to Governor Jan Brewer?
I think The State of Arizona should build a monment to Gov. Jan Brewer for meritorious service in public office. She fearlessly signed into law a bill which represents all Americans and stands firm to defend us against an illegal alien invasion from our southern border with mexico. We need a lot more Americans like Jan Brewer in Washington.

Answer:-I think that a rational person like Jan Brewer should be elected for President of this country. It's about time someone put some dent into Political Correctness which is dragging down our country into backwaters.

A monument is a type of structure either explicitly created to commemorate a person or important event or which has become important to a social group as a part of their remembrance of past events. And usually they are built to remember a person who has done so much for the country as a whole. The purpose of monuments is very often to impress or awe. In English the word "monumental" is often used in reference to something of extraordinary size and power. The word comes from the Latin "monere," which means 'to remind' or 'to warn.' But let's not be like a country like Iraq who build monuments to a living person (witness Sadam). A person has to be battle-tested in the national or international scene before we carve out monumental memories. People also change, but in death, the actions are sealed for posterity. Then that's the time we, the people decide if monuments are warranted.

The hard working illegal is a lib media myth. If they were so hard working why is their home country such a turd world country? It panders only to our greedy corporations and people out to exploit cheap human labor. And we don't need a culture coming from farcical countries based on a violent, primarily uneducated culture that promotes misogynistic attitudes, primarily relies on priests to give direction to the community, as well as a culture that tolerates dishonesty in almost every form - actually downright encourages it. If they were not, do you not think that perhaps these countries where these illegals are coming from would be the shining star of North/South America?

In the past, people waited for their time to come here based on the quota system allowance from their different countries. And US law required immigrants to learn English. There is not a single service then that was offered in another language enforced that law. Millions of people with different languages learned English and assimilated. AND we turned back thousands upon thousands of immigrants coming to Ellis Island, for many reasons based on the national interest. Have this changed for political correctness sake?

We need more public officials who stand for the common good, people who look forward, not along the horizon event of this generation but for future generations. There is a big difference between a politician and a statesman. Along this divisional course, Brewer has the true promising lines of a stateswoman.
  • Question:-Why is it ok for Batman and Superman to take the law into their own hands, but not Jan Brewer or the AZ cops?
Gotham City and Metropolis both have to deal with tons of crime and other problems, but the government / police are either too busy or too corrupt to deal with them. This is why Batman and Superman are both vigilantes who take the law into their own hands.

Why can't Jan Brewer just disregard The Constitution and make her own laws for her state? I mean, sometimes you just have to forget the law / politicians, put on your cape, and save your people, right?

Answer:-Batman was deputized by Commissioner Gordon. Or at least Gordon turned the other way when Batman was working.

Superman could do whatever the hell he wanted. Who was going to stop him. He was Superman after all!
  • Question:-Do you think Jan Brewer - the Republican Governor of Arizona, just STUCK IT TO OBAMA real good?
    Obama called Brewer "misguided"

Will JAN BREWER now become overnight presidential material ?

JAN BREWER is she a hero for standing up the Obama Regime ?

Answer:-For that idiot Mexican who's against the bill--f*ck him.
    I'm a Mexican--and I fully support this legislation.

It keeps Arizona safe--no matter what race I am that is what I want for my beloved state.

I support Governor Jan Brewer 100 percent.
  • Question:-A white guys shoots up people, and a Hispanic man is one of the Heros, what does Jan Brewer say now?
Jan Brewer is constantly telling th world that Arizona is dangerous and only wants to focus on brown folks. So what does she say now?

Answer:-Legal Hispanic man. No one has an issue with that.

ides of march

  • Question:-Who was the older blonde woman at the very end of "The Ides of March"?
    I'm guessing Molly's Mom.....anyone??

    Answer:-
  • Question:-what is the modern view of the Ides of March?
i know the whole story how it was the day cesare was killed.
but what does this day mean for people now?
is there supposed to be bad luck today?
or what do people believe happens on the Ides of March?

    thanks! just curious!

Answer:-It means nothing - it really meant nothing then.

Ancient people were always fooling with calenders - they did that non-stop. The Etruscans had devised a calender with "bad" and "good" days - and some of those were the "Ides (middle) of March".

That sounded SO COOL to the Romans that they adopted all this nonsense - but it's as meaningless as any system of prognostication - like astrology or numerology or any of that horse dump.
  • Question:-What is the significance of the 'Ides of March' or the river Rubicon?
I think there is deeper meaning that cannot be found in an encyclopedia. It means that when you are facing the devil, win or lose, and whatever the outcome is, then at least we gave it our best shot.

Answer:-Crossing the Rubicon has come to mean crossing the point of no return. When Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon river with his legion on his way to Rome, he knew there was no turning back, it meant civil war. As for the Ides of March, that was when Caesar was assassinated & I don't know of any deeper meaning to this. The old saying "Beware the Ides of March" comes from Shakespeare's play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.
  • Question:-why do the conspirators want Caesar to go the Capitol on the ides of March?
Why did they want to kill him [Caesar] in the Capitol? Why not just do it secretly or something? .... Julius Caesar book.

Answer:-They are trying to make it a public spectacle. If the killing is done privately no one will know why Caesar died, i.e. to stop him from becoming king. Since it was public the conspirators could show they felt no shame for what they did, and could claim to have acted in the best interests of the SPQR. It failed of course, but if the killing had been private they would have been spat upon as cowards and traitors rather than the murderers they were viewed as in the play (being a coward was worse in Rome and being a traitor is arguably still worse today.)
  • Question:-How does the ides of march end?
I had an emergency and had to leave the theater and I missed the ending. I saw up to the point of that Mollys funeral. Can someone please tell me how it ended?

Answer:-Here's a synopsis of the plot points leading up to the conclusion: http://gunsjy.blogspot.com/2011/10/ides-of-march-ending-credits.html

and here's an explanation about the film and its ending:
    http://modigmovie.weebly.com/1/post/2011/10/inquiry-43-explaining-the-end-of-ides-of-march.html
  • Question:-Can someone write a paragraph on what the Ides of March is?
This isn't homework, I just kinda want to know what it is in detail, and a paragraph sounds more than enough for it.
Reply to 1st answer: This isn't even work. I just want to know what the Ides of March is.

Answer:-Beware the Ides of March!! It is today!

Originally, the "Ides of March" was just the Roman name for the fifteenth of March and had no more significance than any other date. There is an ides in every month. It has become well known as the date given to Ceaser by a soothsayer who was warning him that there was a plot against his life. The expression "Ides of March" has been used by authors since that time to portray a warning or give their text an expectation of an imminent sinister event. It has been used in the genre of horror in movies and the expression has become detached from its original Latin meaning.

In the link below you will find more details of this and the different parts of the month as named by the Romans.
  • Question:-Seniors: What is meant by the "Ides of March" in Shakespeare?
I didn't study Shakespeare in high school, as we studied the works of Chaucer. So after all of these
years, I've forgotten what "Beware, the Ides of March" was all about. Have we had the "Ides" yet?

Answer:-The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martias) is the name of March 15 in the Roman calendar. The term ides was used for the 15th day of the months of March, May, July, and October. The Ides of March was a festive day dedicated to the god Mars and a military parade was usually held. In modern times, the term Ides of March is best known as the date that Julius Caesar was assassinated in 709 AUC or 44 B.C.

In William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, Caesar is warned to "beware the Ides of March."
  • Question:-Are the Ides of March truely a time when people are jerks?
What exactly are the ides of march? I know it has something to do with the Romans and Julius Caeser, but is it true people get really cranky and rude around the middle of march? Can someone explain this to me? I have been really pissy lately and so has everyone else, and I am curious if that has to do with it, and if it is true. Is it some kind of phenomenon where people are just not themselves in the middle of march? I have always heard stuff like that and I need to know the truth, it's bugging me!

Answer:-The ides of march or march 15th is the day the Caesar was stabbed by the senators led in a revolt by brutus! a fortune teller told Caesar "beware of the ides of March" but he ignored the warning.
  • Question:-In Julius Caesar what were the strange thing happening the night before the Ides of March?
test tomorrow. just trying to study a little

Answer:-I'm not sure if it happens in the Shakespearean play. But the night before his wife has a dream about him dying and begs him not to go to the senate that day he doesn't listen though.
  • Question:-Why was it so critical that Caesar was to be killed on the ides of March?
Why was it so critical that Caesar was to be killed on the ides of March? Like why couldn't Caesar be assassinated on another day?

(Sorry if this might sound stupid I'm just really curious. Shakespeare and the story of Julius Caesar is very interesting to me.)

Answer:-In real life or in the play?

In real life, Caesar was killed on March 15th, 44 BC. Just the day it happened to go down, is all. Could have been any other day, just happened to be that one.
In the play, Shakespeare was telling (what we know today as) "historical fiction" in 1599 AD - 1,643 years afterward. This, of course, is like when you watch a movie that says "Based On A True Story."

The key word there is "Based," you see. Shakespeare was a storyteller first, and needed to keep his audiences captivated. So, since just telling a straight biographical accounting of Caesar's last days would put many people to sleep, he spiced it up quite a bit. So he tosses in soothsayers, subplots, dialogue that no one could possibly know from historical texts, the famous "Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar" line, and so on.

In short: The date only matters in the play, and only because this 'Soothsayer' said so. It was to keep the audience wrapped up and entertained. ;-)

saul alinsky

  • Question:-How have the Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals become engrained at such a grassroots level among liberals?
It seems that all liberals these days are coming from the Saul Alinsky school of thought as far as defaming and deceiving, to attack the opponent.

Answer:-Progressive Liberal Socialists tactics of using lies, deception, cheating, defamation have been around before the 1930's ( Enabling Act anyone?? ) and when caught Progressive Liberal Socialists claim victim, claim frame up and lie their way out of it. Saul Alinsky (1971ish?) just wrote down the tactics practiced by the majority of Progressive Liberal Socialists because what happens when a liar lies to a liar? they get confused. the Progressive Liberal Socialist Democrat's plan is still being executed well; 1) take over American Education to spread Socialism, 2) take over American Press with those educated in Progressive Liberal Socialism, then 3) take over the States and Federal which like all governments begin as Socialist to Tax 'we the people' Capitalism.
  • Question:-Why isn't it a problem to American citizens that Liberals bible is Saul Alinsky book how to manipulate?
That alone should concern any decent human being! The book is all about how to manipulate people and gain power using lies and manufactured CRISIS of the radicals.

Obama actually TAUGHT classes - Room full of STUDENTS sitting a desks - all on that book SAUL ALINSKY RULES FOR RADICALS and thats just the facts.

Here he is teaching them how to take down America- look at his chalkboard writtings!

Answer:-That is you being ridiculous! But then your avatar says it all. Have YOU had any higher education? I thought not.

My college education taught all sides of the story.....not just what the conservatives wanted taught. How else can a person make an educated decision if they don't have all the facts?
  • Question:-Does it make you nervous that Obama is a follower of Saul Alinsky?
Saul Alinsky, the father of community organizing, taught his followers to bring revolution to America by working within the system. He dedicated his book Rules for Radicals to Lucifer, and believed that real revolution came from working within the system to overthrow it by getting people to hate America, capitalism, free speech, and freedom. He hated liberals and thought they were fools.

There is a lot going on in Obama's mind that he does not tell Americans.

    Answer:-Follower?
    Obama TEACHES Alinskyism.
It is one of the primary reasons I didn't vote for him.
  • Question:-Will Obama uses Saul Alinsky book as his new American constitution?
to form his version of new America? Saul Alinsky is basically writing that the best way to form a communist government is to destroy the middle class.

Answer:-Yes, Obama uses Saul Alinsky's book. He wants to own and pick up the carnage that will be a beaten and dejected American populous - one that has held on to the Capitalism and the American dream. You know - “clinging to our guns and bibles”. Obama wants to beat down the American people - he wants to beat down the small business owner - he wants to take your money and give it to someone else - he wants to destroy our Constitution and all that it stands for. Obama is so out of touch with the American spirit that he actually thinks he can get away with all of his grandiose plans. But I believe there is a surprise waiting for him in the near future.

After all is said and done Obama wants to be sure that each and every American is dependent on him and the government for all their needs. In his warped mind, this is how he thinks he can get and keep your vote. This is what his “utopia” is - as sad as that sounds. Obama has a bleak, dark vision of America. Remember, he wants to “fundamentally change America” for ever. He is trying but “We the People” MUST stop this freak in his path. o_O
  • Question:-How Many Democrats Use The Saul Alinsky Rule Book?
The communist rule book by Saul Alinsky must be popular with democrats- Obama and Michelle have been caught many times quoting him.
The main rule they use is attack the opposition constantly- They have all their govt controlled networks bash FOX news so their supporters will never learn the truth of their policies! I feel sorry for those people caught in their web!

    Answer:-*chuckle*

A right winger criticizing people for "always attacking".

    Excellent.
  • Question:-Is the Lies About Fox News lies just another Rule out of the Saul Alinsky Radicals Book?
So Saul Alinsky rules for Radicals says to demonize the opposition, says to call them racists- what other manipulative tactics does the leftists use?

Answer:-I have no idea who Saul Alinsky is and neither do any of my friends. Most of us agree, however, that FoxNews is a giant Lie Factory.
  • Question:-Why Do Barrack And Michelle Quote Saul Alinsky So Much?
Saul Alinsky says to control the media, and bash the opposition to get more power.
On the day Obama was sworn in- the Obama's used Alinsky quotes in the speech. SCARY PEOPLE!

Answer:-that sounds a lot more like Bush and the Republican Party. Without control of the media, there would have been no war in Iraq. In fact, Bush, used the media to sell his war. And the Republican Party, via Hannity, Limbaugh, Levin, and others, are in constant effort to bash the opposition.
  • Question:-what was the organization saul alinsky recruited cesar chavez for?
doing a project for history fair about cesar chavez. we must include how he was recruited by saul alinsky but we do not remember what organization he was trying to recruit him for. help. :/

Answer:-Actually, you have to go back a little. It was Fred Ross who was an IAF organizer in California who originally hired Cesar. The organization that Cesar was hired to work for was called The CSO (Community Service Organization.) I suggest that you get a copy of Sanford (Sandy) Horwitt's biography of Alinsky entitled "Let Them Call Me Rebel." The whole relationship between Fred, Cesar The CSO and Alinsky is laid out.
  • Question:-Why is the Liberal bible Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals dedicated to Lucifer by Saul?
Saul said Lucifer was the first real Radical, so dedicated his book to Lucifer. Now that book is like the Cult book for Liberals- does that make you think, maybe liberals are very dumb after all?

Answer:-Lucifer is the archetype of freedom and intelligence.

The Liberals reflect the outlook of Lucifer in wanting America to be free and educated.
  • Question:-Did you know that Saul Alinsky, the father of "community organizing" dedicated his book to Satan?
This is no joke. Saul Alinsky who was the author of the book "Rules for Radicals" which is the bible of people like Barack Obama and other "community organizers" dedicated the book to Satan. Read on:

Answer:-I did not know this, now when it comes up as a trivial pursuit question, I will have the right answer, thanks.

bill moyers

  • Question:-what makes the bill moyers show different from others?
how is the bill moyers show different from others what makes it so controversial?

Answer:-You may get more answers if if you post this in the correct section of Yahoo Answers.
  • Question:-bill moyers?
You need to check this guy out. He uses out takes that only make his case. That's what he says the rightwing does??? Isn't that the same thing.

Answer:-not even close...first off, he does one thing the neocons at 'faux news' would never do...give the 'other side' a chance to give their take on the issue, although as usual, when the spotlight is shining, cockroaches scurry under the baseboards and they ran and hid (kind of like what neocons do when there's a war going on)
secondly, he AVOIDS doing something that the folks at 'faux news' seem to be honor-bound to do consistently...make up 'facts' to support their argument
  • Question:-How do you feel about Bill Moyers?
Anyone catch Bill Moyers interviewing Jon Stewart, then Josh Marshall (of the Talking Points Memo blog, among others)?

Just trying to get a hit of whether people are familiar with Moyers, and, if so, whether you're fans.

You can probably watch it via this series of tubes we're on, by going to www.pbs.org and hunting around a bit, if you're interested.

    Reactions?
You're sending me to ANN COULTER?

That bastion of journalistic integrity and reason?

    PULEEZZZZEEE

She wouldn't know the truth if it bit her nose off. She just makes stuff up, you know.

What I've heard him say was he wanted to do some writing for a while. I haven't heard him say why he decided to come back with his Journal.

    Tin foil? Hardly.

But then someone who believes every statement of one of the biggest wack-jobs on the planet wouldn't listen to reason.

    I'll read it.
Yeah, Moyers said Condi and the rest of the administration lied -- they kept saying Hussein was responsible for 9/11 -- not true -- and babbling about mushroom coulds, though the inspectors were finding dust and cobwebs.

This just in, he DIDN'T have an active WMD program.

Uh, taking away the right to an abortion IS controlling women's live, rather than allowing them to make their decisions for them.

He said nothing about slave labor camps. Those are Ms. Nut-Case's words.

    Onward!
Well, I was going to take it point by point, but I haven't the time (and it's bad for my bloodpressure).

If Ann's planet ever comes in proximity to Earth, do let me know.

She keeps accusing HIM of insanity, for saying true things.

When she isn't just making up bat-sh*t-crazy stuff.

Answer:-Moyers said that his critics were the ones behind the bin Laden-like attack on Iraq in order "to make sure Ahmed Chalabi winds up controlling Iraq's oil." (And that's why gasoline is so cheap!) Yep, it's all right there on the Project for a New American Century's agenda: (1) invade Iraq, (2) somehow get Bill Moyers' PBS show canceled, (3) invade Syria, (4) invade Iran...

According to Moyers, the reason these right-wing radicals focused on him despite the fan mail he gets — to say nothing of favorable write-ups in the mainstream media — is that he "didn't play by the conventional rules of Beltway journalism." (That and the giant piece of tinfoil on his head.)
  • Question:-Is the Rev Wright interview with Bill Moyers going to hurt Obama more?
Rev Wright said "he (Obama) says what he has to say as a politician". That sounds like Wright is accusing Obama of not being truthful, that Obama is just another duplicitous politician. Oops, but Obama is supposed to be something different than politics as ususal. Rev Wright's message was that Obama, as a private individual, shares his hateful views but Obama had to denounce them because he is a politician.

Answer:-As an outsider I say you need to get your head out of the nether reaches of your bodies, and ask yourselves if Wright is correct in your words ""he (Obama) says what he has to say as a politician". "

    I say yes.
  • Question:-What do you think of the show, Bill Moyers Journal?
I truly admire the way he gets to the truth and exposes hypocrisy, regardless of partisan politics. Sadly, there are no people like him in our government.

Answer:-I am going to miss his reporting very soon!

If you are a fan then you know he is about to retire from PBS.

This man understands what a true direct daily Democracy could do for the American citizen. He knows we the people deserve full legislative power over money/business/govt!
Ridding ourselves once & forever of corrupt representative govt.

Mr Moyers gets to the truth because he is probably one of the most honest people in journalism you can find in American news networks. Bill is 100% himself not under control or spreading spin & propaganda for profits, like so many others are!
  • Question:-Did you see the new Bill Moyers show?
What do you think? Just secular progessive propaganda, like Bill O'Reilly says? Or is it pretty close to the truth?

Answer:-Watching it right now. I respect Bill Moyers immensely. O'Really? Don't even get me started...
  • Question:-Has anyone seen the PBS series "On Our Own Terms" hosted by Bill Moyers?
I would like to use this series as a discussion group on aging and ultimately dying at my United Methodist church in an informal adult setting. I have heard that Moyers was very liberal. I am unfamiliar with this. Any input opinions? Does Moyers "host" the show, narrate it, or a mixture? What about PBS? I have also heard that PBS is hyper-critical of our government, any help on Moyers, PBS or the series, especially the series would be greatly appreciated.
PBS is just about all I watch. I had never noticed a "slant" as well, but was told they had one. I am both shrugging at the comment and wondering.

Answer:-He has total control of his show. PBS is an oasis is a desert of mediocre television. I watch it because it broadcasts British TV shows regularly and have never seen anything slanted politically.

    I found this with google:
    Who Watches PBS?
The audience and supporters of Public Television (PBS), are an affluent demographic, made up of community leaders, business decision makers and upscale consumers:

    87.7% have a household income of $50,000+
13.2% have a household income of more than $100,000
63% of PBS’ audience surf the internet
  • Question:-What if Andrew Stern, Bill Moyers and The Rathke Brothers got nose jobs?
Would they be happier in life and less angry and mean?
    SEAN PENN TOO!
Really all these guys look alike- they could all be brothers?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Have you watched Bill Moyers interview of Jeramiah Wright: Has it changed your mind about him at all?
He seems to me anything but the devisive, hate-filled racist that the media has portrayed him as.

Answer:-I agree with you there, I think this has just been the media's ploy to use that against Barrack Obama. I watched some last night, and I have to say, that some of what he said I agreed with. I just think that he didn't say it in the best way. I mean when you think about it what Wright was saying in essence is that America has done some terrible things in the past that it will eventually pay for. I don't think he was being anti American. He was just saying that you can't do wrong and expect not to have consequences for it. The bottom line is that the media used what Wright said, exploited it to make Obama look bad, when in reality what Wright was saying was correct, I just didn't agree with how it was said.
  • Question:-Bill Moyers is the ONLY trustworthy, able journalist in the USA, disagree, agree, dunno?
Bill Moyers is the last great hope for me. i would even draft him for President but he would never accept. Read his bio and know what the crackpot jerks like Woffie Blitzer wannabee.

Answer:-If you're watching Bill Moyers' Journal on PBS right now, you'll see a prime example of Moyers' trustworthiness, balance, fairness and unbiased journalism. I am in complete agreement with you: Bill Moyers is one of the last stalwarts of American decency and honor.

doj

  • Question:-Whats the difference between DoD and DoJ security clearances?
I just started a new job and must obtain not only a DoD secret security clearance, but a DoJ secret security clearance as well. I have a completely clean record, never have done drugs, never have even smoked a single cigarette... so I'm just wondering why I have to get two, what the differences are, and how the investigations will proceed.

Answer:-DOD is department of Defense One of the Highest security Clearances.

DOJ is Department of Justice All Judges and DA's must have DOJ Clearance
  • Question:-What will the Political ramifications of the botched Fast and Furious program be for the DOJ?
It looks like the DOJ will be in a lot of trouble, I think this will end up being a Scooter Libby moment for the Obama Administration, where an aid will take the fall. What do you think?

Answer:-Obama will just whip out another executive order exempting anyone associated with him from being prosecuted for any of the many, many, many failures and corruptions of his administration. Heck, he already bypasses the authority of Congress and the courts on a whim, why stop now?
  • Question:-How come my man announced that the DOJ wont defend the DOMA signed by Clinton?
But then again the DOJ would not prosecute the black panthers for voter intimidation.
I guess I just answered my own question.

Libs please do as you always do and just avoid the question because as always, you dont have an explanation. But feel free to thumbs down all those who do have the answer to this question.

Answer:-Well Obama has an agenda. Destroy America from the inside.
  • Question:-Why did the DOJ drop the charges on the New Black Panthers?
The DOJ went after the Panthers, won the case and was ready to give the sentence. Then suddenly the DOJ under new Attorney General Eric Holder stepped in and dropped the case. What was the reason?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-How long does it take for DOJ and FBI to complete live scan results.?
I have submitted my LiveScan fingerprints more then 30 days ago. The DOJ sent back my results on the 15th, so about a month from i first sent them, but the Federal is not back yet. How much longer will I have to wait and how much longer after that will I receive my DRE License.

Answer:-yuh dood i had 2 do taht 1s to so prtty much it took like mebbe like 2 week s longr den waytin 4 DOJ 2 do it good lucky lol
  • Question:-Why Not Stop Obeying Laws Like the President and DOJ and ICE and Claim They are UnConstitutional?
The Wh and DOJ and ICE have set precedent for refusing to obey subpoenas, laws and immigration policies.

So Let's Just Stop Being Law Abiding like our Leaders..and do whatever we want to?

Is there foundation in their example to behave as they do?

Answer:-Because they have more guns than I do
  • Question:-What happens to the hundreds of loonies, goonies and religious freaks that Gonzales pumped into the DOJ.?
Hundreds of undereducated graduates from these third rate religious schools were pumped into the DOJ based of their dedication to the Bushbaby. Imigration judges were hired based on thir positrion on Rowe v Wade. What happens to these incopetant clowns now? Foes the new AG commit to replace them with competant people and restore the quality of the DOJ?

Answer:-They will continue collecting their inflated salaries until we vote the Republicans out. Then the Democrats will put their loonies, goonies and religious freaks in(well, maybe not as many religious freaks, but incompetents nonetheless). You need to realize that sanity, intelligence and ethics no longer apply to politics.
  • Question:-The DOJ can override State decisions authorizing the use of medical marijuana, what is your position?
While 16 States have some form of medical marijuana legislation authorizing its use for certain medical problems, the current Administration is allowing the Department of Justice to override the States' decisions. Many people have found relief where there was none before using marijuana and are now being forced to obtain their "medication" on the black market. Let's get Federal government out of State's decisions to do what's best for their citizens.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-If on July 27th when the Arizona immigration law takes effect and the DOJ along with ICE refuses to?
cooperate and deport the illegals arrested by the state, should the states on the border all sue the Federal Government and demand the arrest of the leaders of both the DOJ and ICE as traitors to the sovereignty of the states and the USA? When will the people all people realize what this administration is doing to this country?

Before the Liberals start I asked the Bush administration to secure the Border also and they to refused to do so.

Answer:-I recommend that if the Federal Government refuses to deport the illegal aliens that the illegal aliens be held in Sheriff Joe Arpaio's jail.
  • Question:-Who Saw Bob Sherman Look Ignorant in his Town Hall Sunday on TV, pretending he Had never heard about the DOJ?
Dismissed black panther case when asked about it and his opinion about why the DOJ would do this?

He played dumb and it was pretty lame.

Are these the best and the brightest the democrats can hire for congress in their states?

Answer:-The left are internally frustrated that their leader is so far out in left field he's alienating much of the independent vote he garnered when elected. They are also confused as to why the economy is so stagnant after spending trillions. So you see this more and more, these left wing senators and congressman lashing out when cornered on the issues, they have know answers and won't admit big government is the problem, exposing their true colors in the process. I think it's quite funny.

department of justice

  • Question:-Obama says he and the Justice Department will no longer prosecute violations of Defense of Marriage Act?
Since when does the President have the ability to order the Justice Department to NOT ENFORCE the law just because it doesn't fit his beliefs?

So, let me get this right. When the next president comes in and says the 14th Amendment is not what he believes is right and orders the Justice Department to not prosecute states who violate it?

What is right and wrong is completely up for debate. Laws are what makes things concrete. And then the President does something like this, he is setting a dangerous precedent. Thoughts?

Answer:-Hmmmm - - - Obama saying not to spend resources to persecute er ah prosecute people for the act of marriage, BAD< way BAD -- -
Cheney/Bush demanding that people be tortured, their phones and computers 'tapped,' that people be held in indefinite captivity without charges, GOOD--

This is truly a strange country. ALL PRESIDENTS throughout history have the duty to give their Attorney General directions as to what are priorities in the way of justice from John Adams having to deal with French nationals during the early days of the French Revolution through how to deal with runaway 'slaves' to the the 'threat of anarchist and socialist' at the time of World War One and so on and so on.

Al that President Obama has said, in essence, is that rsources are best spent elsewhere, that it is best to turn a blind eye when someone files a lawsuit against their neighbor for living in sin in violation of the 'law' that says they are not a couple etc and etc.

    Peace/////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
  • Question:-Does the Justice Department have to appeal all lawsuits which go against the government?
As most of us probably know, a judge issued an injunction against "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Obama's administration claims that they "have no choice" and that the US Justice Department "must" appeal. I think they're lying, but I need to know if there have ever been any instances in our history when the Justice Department did not appeal a ruling. Thanks!

Answer:-Being the representative of the "defendant" (US government), the Justice Dept. is obligated to appeal rulings, especially one where, although it's disagreeable, even to the President, the authority of the Executive branch, over the military is being questioned. It has to be appealed.
  • Question:-Does the Justice Department have any choice in prosecuting Bush?
The Justice Department is charged with prosecuting anyone who violates the law - period. It's not the president's personal attorney - that's the Office of Legal Counsel. Since it's clear from legal precedent (see, for example, Ronnie Reagan's Justice Department prosecuting Texas lawmen for violating federal law) that waterboarding is illegal, how can the Justice Department not prosecute Bush?

Answer:-Patience, daddy's little criminal will be prosecuted in due time.
  • Question:-Besides Obama who else has used the Justice Department to prevent states from enforcing federal law?
Obama is suing states in an effort to prevent them from simply enforcing federal law that he has chosen not to enforce.

The framers never intended the Justice Department to be used in a manner to put the rights of illegals over the rights of legal residents of this country.

President Obama is not reforming immigration; he is trying to stop states from enforcing and developing effective immigration laws. With the estimated number of illegal aliens in the United States ranging from 11.5 million to 12.5 million, South Carolina, Alabama, and Arizona are trying to combat the problem infecting their states.

    http://www.examiner.com/republican-in-charlotte/president-obama-battles-new-illegal-immigration-laws

    Answer:-Clinton (U.S. v. Virginia)
    Clinton (U.S. v. Tennessee)
    Clinton (U.S. v. Alaska)
    Reagan (U.S. v. Maine)
    Kennedy (U.S. v. Oregon)

Basically, type "U.S. v. *any state*" Into google and you'll see that they've been sued by the Federal Government over something at some point in time.
  • Question:-Should the USA force The Justice Department into action?
Should the USA just let the Justice Department take over operations in the Middle East?
Aren't they the ones that have tied the Defense Departments hands when it comes to running operations.
If this isn't the case, why is the pentagon taking orders from the justice department?
So what the hell, let the FBI agents go to the Middle East and use their skill to avoid IEDs', sniper fire, and all of the other wonderful adventures that the US military has had to contend with over the past decade.

Answer:-ANYONE who controls the war effort other than the military will lose the war. It happened in Vietnam when Congress decided to run it.
  • Question:-If the Justice Department believes a law is unconstitutional.......Are they required to defend it?
The legal answer is, NO, they are not required to defend it.

Yet they seem to THINK they are.
    Those bullsh*tters keep insisting,
"it is the legal responsibility of the Justice Department to defend existing law."

    No, it's not!
If they believe a law is unconstitutional, they are not obligated to defend it.

So why does everyone, (including the Justice Department themselves), seem to think they are required to defend existing law?
There have been precedents set where the Justice Department has refused to defend existing law.
But such occurrences are very rare.
    Why are they so rare?

Answer:-No, because what is constitutional to one may not be constitutional to the other. The Justice Department should not defend laws which are country to human rights, but unfortunately Obama is trying to be all things to all people

    Hope this helps
  • Question:-Do you believe the Justice Department's shutting down of Megaupload was an act of pure evil?
I believe the members of the Justice Department are evil people who go through life seeking opportunities to do harm.
People who side with the Justice Department = EVIL.
People who side with Megaupload = RIGHTEOUS.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Why do you think the Justice Department chose to support the DOM with feelings instead of facts?
According to the Justice Department, same sex partnerships are akin to incest and molestation. Why does a country based on the freedom for all have a government that is so dilatory in its action against overt unconstitutionality within its own ranks i.e. the Attorney General's Office.

Answer:-You have to remember that the Republicans PACKED the Justice Department for the last eight years with those of the same political ideation. Obama has been in office now for almost six months but the Justice Department still is over 3/4's hardline Republican. Obama is running into political sabotage from every department and agency that the Republicans have packed for the last 8 years. But, he refuses to blame the Republicans, he has class.

    I am a former Republican(1971-2003) Independent.
  • Question:-why do Cons keep complaining about the justice department doing its job by suing AZ?
If the courts say the Immigration Law is Unconstitutional then the Justice department is right, but if its found Constitutional then the law will stand and AZ is right!

Whats there to be afraid of? COULD IT BE THAT CONS KNOW THE LAW WILL GET STRUCK DOWN LIKE A WHORE BY HER 1970's STYLE PIMP?

AMERICANS ARE AFRAID OF BEING RAPED, MURDERED, KIDNAPPED ANOTHER TERRORIST ATTACK (DUH, DO YOU THINK AL QEADA IS NOT HEARING OUR MF PRESIDENT AND THE ICE OFFICIAL WHO SAID IF FROM AZ HE WOULD NOT PROSECUTE!)

If this solid law gets "struck down like a whore by her 1970's style pimp", I never wish evil on others, but I would make an exception and wish it on all Americans who don't support this law, they deserve it in my mind, and the judges that ruled to strike it down.
  • Question:-Why does the justice department hate white folks now?
Holder, the token head of the alleged justice department refuses to take action onb hate crimes against whites. Time to lock and load folks, lock and load.

Answer:-They deny that they are showing any bias claiming they judge each case by its merits. At least they are going to investigate it. We'll see how far that goes.

open marriage

  • Question:-Open Marriage?
Ok, if you have a open Marriage, how does that work? and if it is your first time? My friend is going to have a open marriage, they have been on a rough road in the marriage, but will open marriage help them? and will it save the Marriage?

Answer:-The way it works is that both parties are contracting to the legality of marriage (tax benefits, benefits...), but are not contracting to be faithful. They can date other people (there may be some rules, depending on the relationship), but they are still married.

It isn't the best plan and it will cause jealousy and hurt feelings, but it is a good short term solution to see how you feel. My friends have had open relationships (while dating and betrothed), but all of them eventually broke up. I would only think that an open marriage would be worth it if it was for health insurance reasons, otherwise it seems like a really bad idea.
  • Question:-Open marriage?
Do you have an open marriage with your partner (meaning that you can see other people)?

If not, would you ever consider an open marriage?

    Thanks!
I would consider it, but I certainly understand the viewpoints of those who wouldn't.
just for future reference, swinging and polyamory is not the same thing.

Answer:-I am in an open relationship, one that is on the polyamory side of the continuum.

It does require a lot of work since we must be willing and able to maintain multiple commitments. This requires strong levels of communication, honesty, respect, and trust. We need to be willing to work through any issues that might come up quickly, before they have a chance to undermine our relationship(s). It takes a lot of work but for me, being open to the added love and connection is definitely worth it.

I currently live in a MFM household with my partner and her other male partner. Not only am I in love with her, but another woman who lives about 40 miles away.
  • Question:-Which sign(s) would work best in an open marriage? What signs like to have more then one partner?
I feel pisces & gemini's for sure would be best in open marriages!

The signs i feel that should have open marriages are cancers, scorpios, pisces & gemini's!

The reasons cause the water signs are very sexual & love variety! The gemini or air signs in general cant make up their minds of what they want or switch their minds to darn quick.

What signs do you think would be best for an open marriage?

Answer:-Pisces and Geminis maybe because they have the mutable character in them...
But I definitely would say Aquarius and Leos.
Aquarius because their nature is that way: they cannot belong to 1 person only, they "belong" to everybody- They are very strong (mind) so they can handle open relationships better than the sensitive Pisces or the changing Gemini. Most Aquarius also have plenty of Pisces in them, so it could enhance this trait.
Leos because they get bored easily, especially sexually, and need new challenges in order to spice up their family life... plus Leos are good at separating Love and Sex.

But certainly not the possessive Scorpios or the lovable Cancer! Scorpios couldn't stand seeing their loved ones being shared by someone else. Open marriages go against everything the family oriented Cancers stand for..
  • Question:-Why is my husband forcing open marriage on me just to keep mistress?
He moved out and stopped having sex with me 2yrs ago to be with his mistress full time.

Why is he forcing an open marriage on me when he knows I'm trying to fix this broken marriage for our kids.

Answer:-he isn't.... you are letting him.

get a divorce... and get rid of this LOWLIFE SCUM.

you don't stay married for the sake of the kids..... only does more harm than good.
  • Question:-What is the definition of an open marriage?
Under this definition, do you think an open marriage can realistically work?

Answer:-Open Marriage is an arrangement between the husband and wife to permit one or both of them to have sexual relationships with other people. Often there are "rules" that limit the amount or kinds of relationships that are permitted e.g. 'we can see other people only when we are separated due to business travel'.

It works for some people but for others it causes the marriage to fall apart.
  • Question:-How to get an open marriage?
I'm currently married for 27 years and I want to change it so its an open marriage where we can both see others. I told her I wanted to do that, but she's not too keen on it. Any ideas on how to sell the open marriage concept to a reluctant spouse?

Answer:-Open marriage is not for everyone, but I will say you are at an ideal age. Most want to try young in a marriage, and that is bad.

You should check out Jenny Block. She is the expert, and has a great book. See if your wife would be willing to read this book.

I would ask why you want an open marriage. Is it purely for the sex? If so, I would go the swinging route. Are you wanting another life partner to share their life, and maybe even your spouse as well, a kind of poly relationship? Check out a site called lovemore.com.

Not all open marriages are sexual.

There are a lot of risk, and it requires a lot of communication, renegotiating of your relationship that can be very stressful on some. If you're wife hates stress, she might be willing to try, but she will get sick of complexity.

There is always a chance it could go south. If you are trying to improve your marriage, think again, if done for this reason, it will destroy it.

Then there is possibility that you or her could land a psycho who tries to mess up your life or hers to get you full time.

Another less thought of situation, and this baffles sexy women, it's hard to openly date while married. Most single people will run from married people, even if you have open marriage because they just don't trust it. Most women are looking for a future. Most guys want to have sex without fear of having you or a camera hiding in a closet. Most think it would be just as easy as people cheat, but most cheaters are deceptive at first. If you are open, and honest, most will not know how to take it, if they even trust you. Just look at all the negative comments you got from the traditional types.

I wouldn't push your wife into anything if you respect your marriage, even if being open is the goal. She remains primary, and she never becomes anything less unless you are ready to say good-bye to her.

If she can get around the initial trauma, which may not show itself right away, maybe even years down the road, you two might have a chance at it.

I would say for now is just talk about it in her comfort zone, and if she does not want to talk, I would let it go.

    Good Luck!
  • Question:-Since Newt Gingrich prefers an "open marriage" is that any different than a Mormon who likes poligamy?
His ex says Newt wanted to have his cake and eat it too. She said that Newt told her his now current wife approved of Newt carrying on with other woman, and understood that Newt was too much for any one gal at a time and he needed an open marriage to support his Patriotism and Country.

Do so called Social Consaervatives approve of Newt the family values guy?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-what are your feelings toward an open marriage?
How do you feel about open marriages? Consider that both partners have discussed the possibility and both are fine with idea. Boundaries and "rules" have been discussed and in place. How many people think a mature couple who indulge in an open marriage can make it work and how many think not? Why or why not?

Answer:-Open marriages can and do work. The problem is keeping your emotional relationship alive and well, while sharing your bodies with other people.

You can love many people and for different reasons. And maintain physical relationships.

In order to do that, you have to be careful not to fall into traps. One of those traps is falling in love with someone you're seeing on the side, even with your spouse's permission; and keeping the marriage working too.

Many couples have open marriages. Its not a majority. But they do it if they choose to with the understanding that the married couple always come first. Their needs as a family come first. Etc.

Is it recommended? No. Humans are at cross-purposes. We want to have sex with others, but at the same time we want sexual exclusivity.

It doesn't make sense. But if you redefine the rules, it can still work.
  • Question:-If you have lived in an open marriage please give advice?
My husband and I have talked about having an open marriage. Not on my end but on his. If anyone has been in this form of marriage can you please give me some advice on what to do and not do.

Answer:-Never been... and never will believe in open marriages.......

I've counseled too many couples that have.... best way to ruin a marriage.

only reason someone wants it open.... is because they want permission to cheat.... pure and simple.

You took a vow... and so did your spouse...... LIVE IT.
  • Question:-Is adultery a sin in an open marriage?
If me and my wife agree to an open marriage, can we ask for special permission to be exempt from the adultery commandment? We're both relaxed about sex with other partners as it is healthy and natural for humans to be like that.

Answer:-Adultery is one of the ten commandments. So yeah, it's probably a sin.

republican debate

    VOTE TO KEEP AMERICA SAFE!

john king

  • Question:-What does the signature of painter John King (1788-1847) look like?
I have an oil painting that I bought from a friend. From what I understand, it's very old. The signature in the bottom right corner says J. King. The painting was among other paintings that were done by John King, but I'm not completely sure. Does anyone have a picture of his signature or know where I could go to find one?

Answer:-The available pictures online are very dark, so it is difficult to see what the signature is like.

If you don't have a good auctioneer near you who can visit to authenticate the signature, what I suggest you so it to contact one of the auction houses that has sold his work in the past and get them to verify it.

The links below show where paintings of his have been auctioned in the past. If you then link through to the auction houses, you will then be able to find their addresses/websites/email addresses (as available). If you contact them saying that you are thinking of selling your paintings (some of them will charge for a valuation otherwise) and send them a picture of your painting and a close up of the signature, they should be able to tell you if the signatures don't look right and give you an idea of what you might expect to achieve at auction.

This link shows paintings of his that have appeared at auction.

Also, it you are quick, one of his pieces of art is coming up for auction on 21st September. If you contact the auction house sounding like an interested buyer, they should be able to send you a close up of the signature. (note, this description says 'signed on verso' it may be that King always signed on the reverse, which might be a clue)

  • Question:-What did king John do to upset his people?
What did king John do to upset his people?
If you do reply back to this answer here are two clues to help you are, Nephew and France.
    Happy answering.

    Yours Sincerely
    Pleasehelpme.
    Sorry my name is Helpmeplease

Answer:-Upseting 'his' people wasn't quite the problem. The majority iof English and Normans and a few others living in the lands misgoverned by King John Lackland had little to say on matters. It was the Barons who were thoroughly P-O ed at King John for reasons that included him/ involved him plus a slew of issues that Joh had no control over such as the fact that his father Henry and brother Richard inisted on waging war whenever possible draining the treasury and ravaging the countryside.

The Nephew you allude to was Arthur the First of Brittany whose father Geoffrey, in my humble opinion, would have been a great King. KIng John had Arthur Murdered, or did the deed himsef, angered by King Phillip of France's suggestion that John abdicate in favor of Arthur. It was a particlarly nasty murder.

Here is the dreaded wikipedia link to Shakespear's play and a blurb..
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_John
    Synopsis
The play opens with a demand from the French King Phillip for King John to abdicate in favor of his nephew Arthur I, Duke of Brittany, son of his elder brother Geoffrey. The five acts then depict a dizzying change of alliances,]] and subsequent acceptance, and the play ends finally with King John's slow death after apparent poisoning at the hands of a monk.

Throughout the play, a character known as "The Bastard" delivers a skeptical commentary on nobility, "commodity" (self-interest) and English sovereignty.

It is sometimes considered odd that the magna carta is never mentioned in the play, since this is what King John is best remembered for today. However, Magna Carta was considered in Shakespeare's time, "not as a triumph for liberty, but rather as a shameful attempt to weaken the central monarchy."[2] Also, the focus of the play is on the quarrel over the succession, and Shakespeare would not have thought Magna Carta relevant to his story. Despite this, it was common for Victorian productions of the play to interpolate a spectacular tableau of the signing of Magna Carta into the middle of the play.

    [edit] Reputation
In the Victorian era, King John was one of Shakespeare's most frequently staged plays, in part because of the opportunities it offers for spectacle and pageantry that suited the style of the Victorian stage. However, the play has now dropped in popularity to the extent that it is one of Shakespeare's least-known plays and stagings of it are very rare."""

    and poor Arthur - - - -
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_I%2C_Duke_of_Brittany
"""Philip having recognized Arthur's right to Brittany, Anjou, Maine, and Poitou, Arthur invaded the last-named. But on July 31, 1202 he was surprised by King John while besieging Mirabeau (where he was holding his grandmother Eleanor of Aquitaine hostage), captured, and imprisoned at Falaise, guarded by Hubert de Burgh. At this time also his sister Eleanor was captured and imprisoned at Corfe. The following year he was transferred to Rouen, under the charge of William de Braose, and then vanished mysteriously in April 1203.

The puzzle of his disappearance gave rise to various stories. One account was that Arthur's jailors feared to harm him, and so he was murdered by John directly and his body dumped in the Seine. The Margam annals provide the following account of Arthur's death:

After King John had captured Arthur and kept him alive in prison for some time, at length, in the castle of Rouen, after dinner on the Thursday before Easter, when he was drunk and possessed by the devil (ebrius et daemonio plenus), he slew him with his own hand, and tying a heavy stone to the body cast it into the Seine. It was discovered by a fisherman in his net, and being dragged to the bank and recognized, was taken for secret burial, in fear of the tyrant, to the priory of Bec called Notre Dame de Pres. {See Bec Abbey}.
William de Braose did rise high in John's favor after Arthur's disappearance, so much so that he was suspected of complicity, and indeed many years later, after difficulties with John, William's wife Maud de Braose directly accused the king of murdering Arthur, which resulted in Maud and her eldest son being imprisoned and starved to death therein. William escaped to France, where he was supposed to have published a statement on what happened to Arthur, but no copy has been found"""

    Peace...............
  • Question:-how did the barons feel when king john of england signed the magna carta?
how did the barons feel when king john of england signed the Magna carta?

    give examples?

Answer:-Happy, I should think because they had formally and legally forced the King to hand over a considerable amount of power to them. It also relieved the burden on them placed on them by the King's greed and unreasonable behaviour.

They had at once, retained the monarchy but curbed its power and paved the way to democracy.

  • Question:-What good things did King John do? How much credit does KIng John deserve for his successes?
1)What good things did King John do?
2)How much credit does King John deserve for his successes?

    Happy answering.

    Yours Sincerely,
    Helpmeplease.

Answer:-King John cared about the English people and England itself much more than previous kings had. His older brother spent more time out of England than in it during his rule. King John based his reign in England and focused on England. He cared about justice and the courts system and made alot of changes in them to ensure that even common people recieved justice. He also did a lot to help lepers in England, setting up colonies for them to live in them, granting them monies to live of of, and preventing people from persecuting them.

I think he deserves alot of credit for his successes. I'm not saying that he was one of the best Kings of England, but I think he was a good king, and he was operating under a considerable number of handicaps that are directly tied to the things he did wrong.
