girl scout cookies

  • Question:-Are you going to be buying Girl Scout cookies?
    Hi,

A lot of Girl Scouts around the country will be selling Girl Scout cookies this month. Do you support the Girl Scouts or have a Girl Scout that you know?

My daughter's troop has to sell a certain amount of cookies to be able to go to the Cosmosphere in March which is $65.00 per person.

Different regions sell cookies for different prices-our price will be $3.50 a box with a $0.53 profit. So each girls' goal is to sell 120 boxes of cookies to pay their own way.

Also, if you do buy cookies do you purchase them through family/friends, if a girl comes to your door or a booth sale (where they are standing in front of a business)?

I personally enjoy supporting Girl Scouts and want to hear what other's say and feel about it?

Answer:-I like them, and of course will buy them because my cousin will hit me up & also my mom still buys them as a treat for us & our families. Now that I lost weight I hope I don't go back to eating them so much!! I also sold them in the 80s and liked the whole process. Gives kids independence & teaches them a lot. Just don't let them go out alone if they are selling! I don't personally like it when they are in front of a biz cuz they tend to be pushy and u feel obligated. Maybe send out an email to all your contacts, let your family/friends, co-workers and neighbors know and that should do it. Good luck, hope you reach your goal.
  • Question:-What is the best way to send Girl Scout cookies to the troops in Iraq?
Our Girl Scout troop participated in "Cookies for a cause" We collected cookies to send to the troops in Iraq. We have over 100 boxes and finding it very, very dificult to get these cookies to the troops. Is there an organization that will send these cookies without any charge for us?

Answer:-Contact your local USO or a veterans organization such as the American Legion, Amvets, or VFW. If they can't do it, they should know who can.
  • Question:-How long can you freeze girl scout cookies?
How long can you freeze girl scout cookies? It doesnt matter when you buy it right? Since theyre all made whenever. Im just making sure since i dont want it to suddenly grow mold when i open it months later.

Answer:-about a year in an air tight situation.... but they never last that long in my house.
  • Question:-What is a easy way to sell girl scout cookies or take donations for ST.Judes children hospital?
I am selling girl scout cookies, and I am doing a fundraiser for St.Judes children hospital!

Answer:-For G-scout cookies, set up a table at Wal-Mart..You will make
a killing there and Wal-Mart usually don't mind helping the girlscouts out.
As for St. Judes...Go into banks, your own workplace, family members, teachers, Dr.s...We had one in Mississippi, but we had a karate demonstration. We started taking up donations 2 months before the demonstration and came out with collecting around $7000 for St. Judes.GREAT cause!
  • Question:-How do i sell girl scout cookies fast?
I need to sell 37 more boxes of cookies before the deadline, which is 5 days. I have already gone in some parts of my neighborhood and most people have already bought some, so i am worried that if i go to the rest of the neighborhood then i won't sell as many boxes. My parents have already brought them to work. So does anyone have any good tips on how to sell girl scout cookies easily and fast? Thanks!

Answer:-Don't shoot yourself in the foot by demanding you do it easily. Many things in life are achievable if you are willing to put up with the discomfort involved, but if you insist it be easy, then you trip yourself up before you start. So think about it and widen your options...and take the discomfort involved in your ideas.
  • Question:-Can you eat the entire box of girl scout cookies?
I just devoured a whole box of thin mints and I feel awful. I have never had girl scout cookies before and this was my first time. They melted in my mouth. I feel gross and like a pig? Am I the only one that can eat a whole box of girls scout cookies?

Answer:-Thin mints are the best!!!!!!!!! I always eat the entire box but then for the rest of the week I just eat fruit and salad with lots of exercise :)

  • Question:-What are the names of all of the girl scout cookies now?
I was in the girl scouts when the cookies had names like tagalongs, do-si-dos, chalet cremes, etc. But it's been so long since I've been a girl scout, to the point where I don't even know the names of any of the cookies except for thin mints.

Answer:-All Abouts, Daisey-Go-Rounds, Do-Si-Dos, Dulce de Leche, Lemon Chalet Creams, Lemonade, Reduced Fat Daisey-Go-Rounds, Samoas - Caramel deLights, Thank You Berry Munch, Tagalongs, Thanks-a-lot, Thin Mints, Trefoils.

Those are all the varieties :D
  • Question:-who should you sell girl scout cookies to?
my daughter is selling girl scout cookies. i need somewhere safe for mychild to sell cookies. what should my say?

Answer:-You could try selling them where you work or at your church, or any social groups your family belongs to. These days I just wouldn't recommend going door to door.
  • Question:-Do the Girl Scouts allow welfare mothers to sell girl scout cookies after having baby and not married?
Sarah Palin: Daughter Bristol ‘doing just great’
Governor helps Daughter Bristol a Girl Scout sell cookies with new grandchild Tripp in tow.
Gov Palin is proud of her unmarried daughter. Where did the Republican standards go wrong?

Answer:-Shes not proud of her you can bet that. And to that one poster that said something about she shouldn't have gotten married for the kid or to keep a family together, uggghghhhh

I guess we know where society is going. Pretty soon there will be nobody married and kids by every other "baby daddy". And people want to give the gays heck for just wanting to be married lmfao!

sturgis

  • Question:-Sturgis!!!?
i want to know, from your experience, where r the best places to go, campsites, drinking holes, siteseeing, etc...fill me in

Answer:-it's over for this year. glenco is a good campground, plenty of shade trees , they keep the showers & outhouses clean, good food, just the right amount of nudity.& NO attitudes just 2 blocks from thunder road & the full throttle saloon, on the downside since they started the big concerts last year theres WAY too many motor homes & campers. as for ridding theres too many good rides to do them all in 1 week. after youve seen rushmore & devils tower & deadwood the first year then you start to enjoy going nowhere up in the canyons & back roads. never had a bad experience at glenco except for the weather, had a big wind & hailstorm in 93, blew a lot of tents up in the trees & left 3 in. hail on the ground for a few hours. just about froze every night in 04 sweated a lot in 06. take some long under wear along just in case, you can always throw it away if you dont need it. see ya next year.
  • Question:-How do you get from New York to sturgis sd using public transport?
My son is coming to the states from europe in July, and needs to get to Sturgis

Answer:-He can take a Greyhound bus from New York to either Rapid City, SD or Spearfish, SD. Sturgis is pretty much right between those two cities. I would think that the bus would have to go through Sturgis while going from Rapid City to Spearfish and I don't know if arrangements could be made with Greyhound to stop the bus to let him off. Getting picked back up might be a problem though. If he is going to the bike rally he might be able to take a bus or plane to Rapid City and there might be special buses set up to take people to Sturgis.

    Hope info helps.

  • Question:-What does the owner of the Full Throttle bar do after the rally in Sturgis?
On the True tv channel they have a show on the Full Throttle Bar in the bike rally at Sturgis South Dakota. I was just wondering what the owner of the Full Throttle does after the rally ends. Does he own a full time bar in Sturgis? Or does he have other bars in the country? Just wondering, thanks.

Answer:-Clean and repair for the next 364 days.
  • Question:-Would anyone who has been to the Sturgis Bike Rally recommend it to someone new to riding?
I have the opportunity to go to the Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota this year with a few friends. If you have gone to the motorcycle rally would you reccomend going? What are your experiences? Money is getting tight for my wife and I due to some unexpected things and I wondering if I need to skip this trip? I have been planning, saving and preparing for this trip for 6-7 months. I would like to go but just need some TRUE and NO - BS experiences from being there. We do need to keep answers clean and nice as this is an open forum.

Answer:-My husband has been and he would highly recommend it. However, if your money is tight this trip might not be for you. Hotels are extremely expensive - don't even think of staying in the Sturgis area. It may even be too late to get accomodations if you haven't already. Check the Sturgis Bike Rally websites. Best of luck!
  • Question:-What is traffic like in the Black Hills during Sturgis?
It happens that myself and some friends will be in the Black HIlls while Sturgis is going on. I've heard horror stories. HOw bad is the traffic and what is the availbility of hotels? We're going to try to stay as far as possible away.

Answer:-THE BLACK HILLS ARE VERY LARGE AREA. IF YOU DONT LIKE MOTORCYKLES STAY OUT OF THE STURGIS AREA. ITS NOT LIKE A HEAVY TRAFFIC JAM; BUT YES THERE WILL BE MANEY MOTORCYKLES AROUND MT. RUSMORE; DEADWOOD; WELL I GUESS I WONT LIE IF YOU DONT LIKE MOTORCYCLES
  • Question:-How many are going to Sturgis this year?
I'm wondering how busy Sturgis will be this year. Is the recession going to keep the crowd lower than usual?

Answer:-I will be in the Hills for the last few days of Rally Week. My trip will be shorter than usual because of the recession. I probably will not venture into Sturgis for more than half an hour or so.

The crowds will probably be down, as they were last year, when I was able to ride the length of main Street without once having to stop for a bike in front of me. I only stopped at intersections with stop signs. If you have been there in a more typical year, you will know how remarkable this is.

p.s. Although quite a few Harley owners trailer their bikes, most ride.
  • Question:-Is there a hard rock Cafe in Sturgis or Rapid city if so where?
Rapid city and Sturgis. Is there a hard rock cafe there. If so what is the address.

Answer:-Hey , um go to the hard rock cafe's online website , they have a list of all of their cafe's & you just enter your zip code & area in which you are looking for ! :)
  • Question:-where is a good place to stay for first time Sturgis Rally goers?
I have about 4 of us guys that want to get a spot for Sturgis next year. I don't know where is a good place to stay? This would be the first time for all of us. I have heard that if you want to find a place to stay for next year you have to reserve a room anytime now.

Answer:-Take a tent and camp-out just like everybody else does. Or go to hotels.com or a similar web-site and see what is closest. I went to Sturgis, it was great. But I didn't have to worry about a place to stay, my room-mate and I stayed with her aunt and uncle in Rapid City. It's like crazy crowded so whoever told you to book the room like now is right.

Here, try this site: http://farechase.yahoo.com/hotelsearch/?cityname=Sturgis%2C+SD, or you could even use any of the travel sites, like Expedia or whatever. Or go to individual hotels web-sites, and see what they have in the area.
  • Question:-Is anyone coming to the Sturgis Rally this year? What are some of your best rally memories?
I live in Hermosa SD. and the Sturgis motorcycle rally just started this weekend. I am going to see Velvet Revolver at the buffalo chip this year and just wanted to hear other people's storries from the rally. If you tell me yours I will tell you mine.

Answer:-Glencoe and the Full Throttle always provides a lot of memories for me! I would be more interested in getting to know the girl who calls herself 'spunkylover'?!
  • Question:-does any one know name of company that took pics on poker runs during sturgis rally 08?
I am trying to find the name of the company that took pictures on the side of the road during the Beartooth and the Sturgis Rallies.

Answer:-Good luck. There were probably over 100 professional photographers alone. Add the fact that almost everyone else also had a camera and its like finding a needle in a haystack. Might try contacting some of the following:

supercross

  • Question:-supercross???????????????????
wt supercross games r there on ps3 abart from mx vs atv or any orther motorbike games

Answer:-There's Pure, which is a quadbike game and it's pretty good. You should check it out!!
  • Question:-What is the dirt they use when building the supercross tracks and motocross tracks?
I need to know what specific type of dirt or clay is used when they build the supercross tracks and the motocross tracks.
    what about topsoil?

Answer:-A clay based soil is used as if the soil is too soft once compacted down the jumps will just disappear with the bikes hitting them. So it has to be a heavily clay based soil.

If the local soil is to soft then they have to have dirt transported in or the event would be a shambles and the jumps would not last very long.

It is also the reason why you get so many different types of surfaces when racing mx as a track could be very hard or just plain sand. That is when tyre selection and suspension set up come into play.

I guess it depends upon your interpretation of topsoil. If you intend a sx track then any soft soil will just be blown away as soon as a bike hits it and the track just won't last. Also putting topsoil over any clay base will have pretty much the same effect. An sx track has to be firm or it just won't hold up to the bikes on it. That is why you will notice any mx track you may ride that is sand based does not have a lot of jumps and a sand based track is better of being as natural as possible and letting the bikes form the track and any ruts and whoops. Sand tends to do its own thing.
  • Question:-Can bring a camcorder to the AMA Supercross?
The AMA Supercross is in Seattle today. I want to record some footage, but don't know if they're going to let me in with my camcorder.

Do I need to go with the digital camera instead?

Answer:-They usually confiscate recorders as no one would buy the dvd at a later date if everyone was allowed to video it. I know I have not been allowed to take mine in when my son has been racing. Even photos are usually frowned on.
  • Question:-How is the veiw from the pits at an AMA Supercross event?
I'm planning on going to At&t park on the 30th for the Supercross event, don't have much money so I was thinking about pit passes so I could maybe have the chance to meet & greet? Does anyone recommend it? whats your opinion?

Answer:-Well, usually the pits are outside of the stadium. The pits are where the semi's that haul the dirt bikes park. You can usually walk around and the semi's will have canape's setup where you can see them working on the bikes/setting them up. Also, the riders will often sit at tables and sign autographs and stuff. Aside from that, usually you have to have separate tickets to get into the AT&T park and actually watch the race. You can find cheap tickets for $20 or so each online..
  • Question:-When will the dates for the 2010 US Open Supercross be released?

  • Question:-What are the pit parties like for Monster Energy Supercross?
I'm going to the pit party for supercross on April thirtieth, at Rice Eccles stadium, and i was wondering if i need to buy hats and stuff to get autographs on, or if they provide them?

Answer:-They do not provide you with anything.
  • Question:-Is it worth to go to a Supercross race in the rain?
Well tommorrow theres a supercross race at Anaheim Angels Staduim. I never been to one of these races so i was wondering if its worth to go see them race in the rain or if not to wait untill next weekend when its dry? Let me know which would be better. Theres really heavy rain on its way, its has been raining for a few hours. So this is why im asking. It also says they race in rain or shine. But let me know if its worth going to thanks.

Answer:-I went to a Supercross race near Denver once. It was amazing!! I would absolutely go if I had the chance like you do. Of course it all depends on how into racing you are. You might no want to go if you are just going for something to do but if you are a hard core mx rider it won't matter what the weather is.
  • Question:-How does AMA Professional Supercross Points System Work?
    Hey guys!

I am an XTREME fan of Professional Supercross. Thus far, Chad Reed leads in "points".

Does anyone know how the points system works? I know that to get 25 pts, you have to get 1st place in a Main Event, is there anything else?

I've searched the internet to find a chart or system that I could read to determine how the points system works, can anyone shed some light on the subject?

Answer:-The races leading up to the main event are usually qualifiers to get to the main event and the riders get to pick their peg positions from where they place in the heats.
In the main event the points run
    1st-25points
    2-22
    3-20
    4-18
    5-16
    6-15
    7-14
    8-13
    9-12
    10-11
    11-10
    12-9
    13-8
    14-7
    15-6
    16-5
    17-4
    18-3
    19-2
    20-1
If two riders are on the same points in the placings then it goes to the rider with the highest number of placings.

bill moyers

  • Question:-what makes the bill moyers show different from others?
how is the bill moyers show different from others what makes it so controversial?

Answer:-You may get more answers if if you post this in the correct section of Yahoo Answers.
  • Question:-bill moyers?
You need to check this guy out. He uses out takes that only make his case. That's what he says the rightwing does??? Isn't that the same thing.

Answer:-not even close...first off, he does one thing the neocons at 'faux news' would never do...give the 'other side' a chance to give their take on the issue, although as usual, when the spotlight is shining, cockroaches scurry under the baseboards and they ran and hid (kind of like what neocons do when there's a war going on)
secondly, he AVOIDS doing something that the folks at 'faux news' seem to be honor-bound to do consistently...make up 'facts' to support their argument
  • Question:-How do you feel about Bill Moyers?
Anyone catch Bill Moyers interviewing Jon Stewart, then Josh Marshall (of the Talking Points Memo blog, among others)?

Just trying to get a hit of whether people are familiar with Moyers, and, if so, whether you're fans.

You can probably watch it via this series of tubes we're on, by going to www.pbs.org and hunting around a bit, if you're interested.

    Reactions?
You're sending me to ANN COULTER?

That bastion of journalistic integrity and reason?

    PULEEZZZZEEE

She wouldn't know the truth if it bit her nose off. She just makes stuff up, you know.

What I've heard him say was he wanted to do some writing for a while. I haven't heard him say why he decided to come back with his Journal.

    Tin foil? Hardly.

But then someone who believes every statement of one of the biggest wack-jobs on the planet wouldn't listen to reason.

    I'll read it.
Yeah, Moyers said Condi and the rest of the administration lied -- they kept saying Hussein was responsible for 9/11 -- not true -- and babbling about mushroom coulds, though the inspectors were finding dust and cobwebs.

This just in, he DIDN'T have an active WMD program.

Uh, taking away the right to an abortion IS controlling women's live, rather than allowing them to make their decisions for them.

He said nothing about slave labor camps. Those are Ms. Nut-Case's words.

    Onward!
Well, I was going to take it point by point, but I haven't the time (and it's bad for my bloodpressure).

If Ann's planet ever comes in proximity to Earth, do let me know.

She keeps accusing HIM of insanity, for saying true things.

When she isn't just making up bat-sh*t-crazy stuff.

Answer:-Moyers said that his critics were the ones behind the bin Laden-like attack on Iraq in order "to make sure Ahmed Chalabi winds up controlling Iraq's oil." (And that's why gasoline is so cheap!) Yep, it's all right there on the Project for a New American Century's agenda: (1) invade Iraq, (2) somehow get Bill Moyers' PBS show canceled, (3) invade Syria, (4) invade Iran...

According to Moyers, the reason these right-wing radicals focused on him despite the fan mail he gets — to say nothing of favorable write-ups in the mainstream media — is that he "didn't play by the conventional rules of Beltway journalism." (That and the giant piece of tinfoil on his head.)
  • Question:-Is the Rev Wright interview with Bill Moyers going to hurt Obama more?
Rev Wright said "he (Obama) says what he has to say as a politician". That sounds like Wright is accusing Obama of not being truthful, that Obama is just another duplicitous politician. Oops, but Obama is supposed to be something different than politics as ususal. Rev Wright's message was that Obama, as a private individual, shares his hateful views but Obama had to denounce them because he is a politician.

Answer:-As an outsider I say you need to get your head out of the nether reaches of your bodies, and ask yourselves if Wright is correct in your words ""he (Obama) says what he has to say as a politician". "

    I say yes.
  • Question:-What do you think of the show, Bill Moyers Journal?
I truly admire the way he gets to the truth and exposes hypocrisy, regardless of partisan politics. Sadly, there are no people like him in our government.

Answer:-I am going to miss his reporting very soon!

If you are a fan then you know he is about to retire from PBS.

This man understands what a true direct daily Democracy could do for the American citizen. He knows we the people deserve full legislative power over money/business/govt!
Ridding ourselves once & forever of corrupt representative govt.

Mr Moyers gets to the truth because he is probably one of the most honest people in journalism you can find in American news networks. Bill is 100% himself not under control or spreading spin & propaganda for profits, like so many others are!
  • Question:-Did you see the new Bill Moyers show?
What do you think? Just secular progessive propaganda, like Bill O'Reilly says? Or is it pretty close to the truth?

Answer:-Watching it right now. I respect Bill Moyers immensely. O'Really? Don't even get me started...
  • Question:-Has anyone seen the PBS series "On Our Own Terms" hosted by Bill Moyers?
I would like to use this series as a discussion group on aging and ultimately dying at my United Methodist church in an informal adult setting. I have heard that Moyers was very liberal. I am unfamiliar with this. Any input opinions? Does Moyers "host" the show, narrate it, or a mixture? What about PBS? I have also heard that PBS is hyper-critical of our government, any help on Moyers, PBS or the series, especially the series would be greatly appreciated.
PBS is just about all I watch. I had never noticed a "slant" as well, but was told they had one. I am both shrugging at the comment and wondering.

Answer:-He has total control of his show. PBS is an oasis is a desert of mediocre television. I watch it because it broadcasts British TV shows regularly and have never seen anything slanted politically.

    I found this with google:
    Who Watches PBS?
The audience and supporters of Public Television (PBS), are an affluent demographic, made up of community leaders, business decision makers and upscale consumers:

    87.7% have a household income of $50,000+
13.2% have a household income of more than $100,000
63% of PBS’ audience surf the internet
  • Question:-What if Andrew Stern, Bill Moyers and The Rathke Brothers got nose jobs?
Would they be happier in life and less angry and mean?
    SEAN PENN TOO!
Really all these guys look alike- they could all be brothers?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Have you watched Bill Moyers interview of Jeramiah Wright: Has it changed your mind about him at all?
He seems to me anything but the devisive, hate-filled racist that the media has portrayed him as.

Answer:-I agree with you there, I think this has just been the media's ploy to use that against Barrack Obama. I watched some last night, and I have to say, that some of what he said I agreed with. I just think that he didn't say it in the best way. I mean when you think about it what Wright was saying in essence is that America has done some terrible things in the past that it will eventually pay for. I don't think he was being anti American. He was just saying that you can't do wrong and expect not to have consequences for it. The bottom line is that the media used what Wright said, exploited it to make Obama look bad, when in reality what Wright was saying was correct, I just didn't agree with how it was said.
  • Question:-Bill Moyers is the ONLY trustworthy, able journalist in the USA, disagree, agree, dunno?
Bill Moyers is the last great hope for me. i would even draft him for President but he would never accept. Read his bio and know what the crackpot jerks like Woffie Blitzer wannabee.

Answer:-If you're watching Bill Moyers' Journal on PBS right now, you'll see a prime example of Moyers' trustworthiness, balance, fairness and unbiased journalism. I am in complete agreement with you: Bill Moyers is one of the last stalwarts of American decency and honor.

gop debate

  • Question:-Anyway to watch the first GOP Presidential Debate without watching it on Fox News?
I want to watch the Presidential GOP debate tonight at 9pm ET but my apartment complex doesn't subscribe to Fox News (although they do subscribe with MSNBC and CNN). Is there any other place I can watch the debate. Somewhere online? Will Fox Business stream the debate? Thanks for answering!

Answer:-Online possibly? CSPAN? I guess we know the politics of those that decide what cable stations your complex gets. Agree or disagree with a stations politics, can you say censorship? Too bad you're not given the opportunity to purchase your own cable and decide your own station packages. Hmmm, sounds a bit like the kind of government mandated and controlled services they provide. Isn't it nice to have your choices taken out of your hands. Don't worry. They'll do the thinking for you. They know whats best for you anyways and apparently do your apartment managers. :)
  • Question:-What question would you like to ask at the next GOP debate?
If you could be a moderator at the next GOP debate, what one question do you want to ask and who do you want to answer?

Answer:-Question to all. What fucking planet are you from?
  • Question:-Why the need for a GOP debate tonight if none of them can win against Obama?
Let's face it. Tonight's debate is just a formality. Obama will get reelected. That's just a reality. The GOP won't be able to have a candidate that will sway voters.

    Answer:-They are masterdebaters.
  • Question:-When is there going to be GOP debate showing all declared candidates?
There are 18 people who have declared for GOP presidential race , but only 8 who were showed at the debates.
Correction: There are 12 people who are declared not 18. Sorry
@sassy, when will the other 11 be shown then.

Answer:-we'll never see all 18 on one stage.
  • Question:-What did Herman Cain mean at the GOP debate?
At the GOP debate on Sept. 7th, Herman Cain said "If 10% is good enough for god, 9%percent should be good enough for the government". What did he mean by the god part?

Answer:-He was referring to tithing. In the Bible, God asked his followers to give the first tenth (tithe) of all that He had given to them back to Him by way of the church so that it could help the poor and the needy.

This was to test their faith. He promised them that if they gave Him 10% of all that He had given to them, then He would bless them even more so.
  • Question:-I want to find one of my answers to a question that was asked about the upcoming GOP debate.?
I'm trying to find an answer that I asked about a question related to the upcoming GOP debate. I can find the page where 2550 answers are located but I don't want to scroll through every answer to find my answer. Isn't there an easier way to organize this or search for our answers to questions where there is such a huge response? If not, why not?

Answer:-Click on your own profile and then click on answers.
  • Question:-What do you think about Rick Perry assaulting Ron Paul(Pics inside) during the GOP debate?
    http://www.ronpaul.com/2011-09-08/force-vs-reason/

Maybe assault is a bit to strong but he did grab Ron Paul without his permission during the commercial break for the GOP debate.

Answer:-You are a day late. Ron Paul already said Perry did not "grab" him and they didn't say anything bad to each other.
  • Question:-What time is the Iowa GOP debate tonight 12-10-11?
What time is the Iowa GOP debate Eastern Standard time. Thanks!

    Answer:-9 pm EST on ABC.
  • Question:-How many GOP debate questions has Donald Trump sold to the Candidates?
We all know that that moderating December's debate is all about money and self-promotion to Trump.

Are the Candidates going to make it obvious by only buying the easy questions?
What's the going rate for the very hard questions?......if any!

    Answer:-
  • Question:-What type of questions do you think will be asked tonight at GOP debate?
Tonight's debate is the people's debate. Questions asked of the candidates are ones submitted either thru You tube or written.

Answer:-First, thank you for reminding me of the debate tonight. I find it very entertaining. Not informative but entertaining.

Look for a lot of Ron Paul supporters to weigh in on his vision of government.

Progressive questions will zero in on Perry for social security remarks. Mitt will be questions on his jobs program plan???

Look for Newt, Santorum and Cain to be virtually ignored.

seattle weather

  • Question:-Seattle Weather?
Hey guys, this is for those of you who know Seattle/Washington really well. I'm moving there next summer, and I was curious about the weather habits. I know it rains a lot, blah blah, but I mean bad weather. Here in Texas we have tornadoes and really bad thunderstorms, etc. and I'm kind of going to miss that. What does Seattle have?

Answer:-I guess if you're from a very dry area, the weather can seem very rainy here, but in actuality, it's no rainier than New York.
Our winters have, until last winter, have been mild, with rain and morning frosts. Sometimes we'd get an inch or two of snow that would stay a day or two at most. We were unprepared last winter with a wild wind storm that killed the power in most of the pacific northwest and then some nasty freezing weather. Later we got several inches of snow. We are supposed to expect more winters like that in the next several years.
Springtime, the clouds are confused. Quite often the weather changes its mind several times in a day. An average spring day could go something like; Sun, rain, sun, hail, wind and rain, sun, a boom or two or thunder, sun and wind.
Don't plant your gardens too early. Often, we are fooled by what looks like an early spring and the flowers open up, and then we get some frosty mornings that kill the young blooms.
Summertime usually greets us with some thunderstorms and wild rainstorms. Then comes the hot and dry season. We're on fire-watch right now with upper eighties to nineties weather.
Fall is my favorite. After a few rainfalls to cool us off from the summer, the trees explode with color. Things usually dry back off for a while so people can go outside and enjoy the fall colors.
Suddenly, one morning, there will be fall on the ground and things are never quite warm again for that year as we slip once more into winter.
  • Question:-What is your view of our (Seattle) weather?
I don't know if youve seen the news but Seattle's rainy image is FALSE. Yeah our heat wave right now is rare (it got to 103 F wednesday!) but really, our weather is very nice. But i want to hear what everyone else has to say about it!

Answer:-Yeah, you stole New England's summer, we want it back, and you can take our rainy crap
  • Question:-What is the weather in Seattle and what should i pack?
I'll be going to Seattle, WA this Sunday. I am from Denmark. I'll be living with a host family in Kent, WA, and then go to school there. I wanna know what the weather is going to be like (Im used to a little winter with snow and average temperatures of around 20-40 degrees F). What should I pack? Other important things to know? Entertainment? Transportation?

Answer:-lots of rain clothes... I mean a lot!!! I hope you love the rain as much as I do!
Its usually warmer here about 40-60 degrees... but wet :-)
Entertainment? ummm that's a good question it depends what you like to do.... and where in Kent your at... downtown Kent has really grown and there are shops and a movie theater and restaurants down there...there is a ice skating rink close by... If your on the east hill of Kent and you like to swim there is a pool behind KM high school...
Oh if you like Thai food - Grandma Thai is really good :-) it doesn't look like much on the outside but its great!
There is a lot to do in and around Kent it just depends on what you like to do!
Transportation.... also depends on where your at... the bus system pretty much goes every where in kent... and walking is always great... lol just don't forget water proof clothes and an umbrella!
  • Question:-How is the weather in Seattle like in March?
Hello, I have a plan to visit Seattle in late March for a week, alone. I wonder how is the weather like during that time. Would it still be OK to walk around and have a good time there? Never been there before. Please give some advices. Thank you very much.

Answer:-Ordinarily the weather in March is pretty crappy (lots of clouds and rain), but this year we've been having a very warm winter, and I think March will be a very pleasant month. Already, we're getting temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s, which for the middle of January is pretty nice.

Expect a lot of cloudy days, but you'll get used to them very quickly. The rain in Seattle is very overrated; we get much less than cities on the east coast. It's just really cloudy all the time.

As for things to do outdoors, I'd recommend checking out Pike Place Market downtown (touristy, but a nice area), the waterfront, Gasworks Park on Lake Union (which has fantastic views), and Green Lake/Woodland Park. There are also many beaches along Puget Sound and Lake Washington that are very pleasant on sunny days (if there are any).

If you're willing to travel a ways, Whidbey Island, particularly Deception Pass State Park, is beautiful in any weather. If you're interested in winter sports, I'd go to Crystal Mountain or Snoqualmie Pass in the Cascades, they usually still have snow throughout March.
  • Question:-What kind of weather this Winter is going to be expected for Seattle?
What is the weather going to be like this Winter? Since Seattle's weather is unpredictable, and we usually get very mild Winters but sometimes we get a lot of snow. A lot of Meteorologists and Climatologists have said that the coming winter is going to be bad but it never happens. What does a large high pressure system in early December usually predict? A huge high happened 2 years ago around the same time but in January after that, it was around 50F! What do you think this winter would be like? Is it La Nina or El Nino?

Answer:-Despite what they say, nobody can predict the next season with any accuracy whatsoever! I have a been a meteorologist for 16 years. They try to link atmospheric patterns to la nina and el nino, but it's such a loose correlation, you can almost make the data fit whatever you wish it to.

Look, if we can't predict next week, how would you expect anyone to predict months from now? Case closed. Holler if you hear me!

If I were you, I would just expect "normal" weather, which is rainy followed by cool followed by brief warm ups followed by rainy followed by cool.
  • Question:-Can someone tell me how weather in Seattle, Washington has been this month?
I'm going to Seattle, Washington tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone could let me in on how the weather is so I know what type of clothing is appropriate. Yes, I could always watch the news, but yet again they don't always get the weather right. So from someone who is in Washington currently, how has it been?

Answer:-It's been rainy with a chance of drizzle, showers overnight and through the weekend.
  • Question:-What is the weather like in Seattle during summer?
My family and i are planning on taking a trip to Washington and the Seattle area. What is the weather like during July and August?

Answer:-I lived there 10 years and summers are GREAT. Don't worry about the rain because it's kinda dry those months. It will never get hot, and the nights are cool. It is perfect. Don't forget to eat the blackberries that are all over the sides of the roads. They are so tasty and ripe in late july and august.

You gotta take a ferry boat trip into the San Juan Islands when you are up there. You will never forget that the rest of your life.
  • Question:-what is seattle weather really like all year long, especially winter?
i am born and raised in New england, I currently live in philly which was a temporary stop along the way. My ultimate goal is to be in a climate that is warm all year long. I don't like winter. I really don't want lower than 50's. I have looked at "weather averages" for a lot of places. Seattle is one place that always interested me, but i am not sure the weather interests me. I would want to know from people who live there or have lived there previously.

Answer:-I live in the Seattle area now, and have lived here for 12 years.

Summer weather (July-September) is warm during the day and dry, and usually cooling off at night. Most of us do not have air conditioners in our homes because it just doesn't get that hot that much here.

From the end of September to the end of June the weather is cooler, grey and damp. Average rainfall is only about 37 inches per year, but it comes down in long drizzly days. Even on the days it doesn't rain, there is more grey clouds than sunny days through fall, winter and spring.

It does snow here, but not too often. Last year was heavier than usual, and we had maybe 6 snowfalls in my area just north of Seattle. Usually it snows enough to stick and affect everything once or twice a year.

If you really don't want temps lower than the 50's, then Seattle isn't right for you. We had a low temperature last week (in June) of 48 degrees. Granted, that was at night, and during the day we were in the 60's, but still, that's what it is like in June here. In winter, average temps are lows in the 30's and highs in the 40's. And we will get one or two "Arctic Express" fronts from Alaska that will drop temperatures into the teens each year.

I think you need to be looking at locations further south if you really don't want the cold.
  • Question:-What is the weather in Seattle like in mid-Sept?
I am leaving for Seattle on the 19th of Sept, I need to know what kind of clothes to pack. I looked up the weather on the internet but all it says is "Sunny in the 70's". Is the 70's hot? Could someone who lives there tell me the kind of clothes I should pack. Jacket, sweaters, t-shirts.
    Thanks

Answer:-k first of all. the MORNINGS R COOOOLD. so yeah bring a jacket for the mornings. during the afternoon short sleeved shirts will do. u can wear jeans with it, it wont get that hot. at night its cold like the mornings so yeah wear layers. seattle's weather is practically a routine. mornings r cold, afternoons r the hottest, and the nights r cold.
  • Question:-Hows the weather in Seattle around early October?
I'm going on a trip to Seattle in early October, but I'm clueless on how the weather is around that time since I've never been to the west coast? I just would like an answer to know what kind of clothing to bring with me..

Answer:-October is the transition month from the dry sunny summer to the wet overcast, cool temps the rest of the year. If you are lucky, the first couple of weekends in October can be really nice.

Plan for cool weather: lows in the mid 40's to highs in the upper 60's with a chance of rain and you cannot go wrong. Enjoy your visit.

girl scout cookies

And people want to give the gays heck for just wanting to be married lmfao!

eli manning

  • Question:-Eli Manning?
Was anyone else suprised to see the command Eli had over his offense yesterday??? Eli looked like a savvy vet!! Will we see this Eli Manning or the one that chokes this weeked againest the Cowboys?

Answer:-Eli will choke. I hate to say that, I do feel bad for Eli always living in big brothers shadow. He has talent but will never be as good as peyton. I do belive he tries his best every down and you can not fault him for that.
  • Question:-eli manning?
does anybody know exactly why eli manning refused to play for the chargers

Answer:-he didnt think the franchise was going in the right direction and management weren't there to win
  • Question:-Eli manning?
do you think eli manning is good this year

Answer:-NO he is worst than last year.
  • Question:-ELI MANNING!!?!?!!?!?!?
Damn i didnt expect eli manning to be playing this good. This guy is playing like a top 5 qb. if he stays consistent then he will for sure be better than rivers... dont you agree?

    Answer:-i agree
  • Question:-Eli Manning is going to be the highest paid player in the game?
Why? The Giants are going to give Eli a mega payday just because his DEFENSE won him the Super Bowl? And people think he's better than Peyton, wow. Eli Manning is the most overrated quarterback in todays game. Probably the most overrated player in todays game...

What is your opinion on this?

BQ: Do you think Eli is better than Peyton?
Lol, who goes by Madden 2009 if a player if good?

Answer:-Eli Manning. I'm sure glad my Chargers decided to trade for Phillip Rivers! Eli Manning is, like you said, one of the most overrated players in the NFL today, and possibly in the history of the NFL too! His defense won him 3 playoff games and a Super Bowl. His defense got him past the Packers with the interception in overtime. Peyton is one of the greatest there is and Eli is just walking in Peyton's shadow. The catch that David Tyree made against his head in the Super Bowl should not, and would not have happened with a decent QB, because Tyree should never have been in the position to make that kind of catch if it was a well thrown ball. Whenever Eli throws a ball it just kinda wobbles out of his hand and is quite off target from his receivers. Only the good receivers can control the football so Eli generally ends up with a low completions percentage. Eli's porousness was exposed when Plaxico was gone and none of his receivers could catch what he was throwing. Eli will be re-exposed this season without anybody to throw to that has hands like Plax did.

BQ: NO! Look up to see explanation.
  • Question:-When can I start to finally see some Eli Manning commercials?
When will his commercials starting airing in the tv?

Like a good one not the lame one where they say "eli manning is unstoppable".

    Answer:-When you buy a T.V.
  • Question:-How much is a autographed picture of eli manning?
My friend from school got a picture of eli manning because he wrote to him.and he got a autographed picture. And i was gonna buy it from him.

Answer:-According to eBay, about $50. There are a couple of signed pictures on there going for about the same amount, although there are one or two similar items going for only about $10. If I were you, I'd check out the prices on eBay for a while, and then figure out what price range is reasonable to you.
  • Question:-Should i start Eli manning vs Detroit lions or tom brady vs Baltimore Ravens?
Fantasy Football. Should I start Eli Manning against Detroit lions or Tom Brady against Baltimore Ravens. Eli looks like he's getting better and Tom Brady just got Deion Branch back.

Answer:-Eli Manning without a doubt. The Giants Defense is projected on every fantasy site as a top 3 start this week at home. If Megatron doesn't play (which is looking like a strong possibility) they won't have a chance. Think of what that Giants defense did to Cutler and the Bears. Eli is going to be on the field a lot more than Brady.
  • Question:-Should I start Eli Manning over Brett Favre in Week one of Fantasy Football?
Eli Manning plays today against the Redskins defense who he struggled against last year. Brett Favre is growing old but is still playing a defense who struggled last year. (Miami)

Answer:-Eli. He's in a better spot this week in that he's familiar with the system and recievers and Favre still hasn't shown a comfort level with the Jets O.
  • Question:-Who agrees with me that the individual who asked a bad comment about Eli Manning got emotional problems?
WHo agrees that the person who wrote that negative question about ELI Manning and I wont't repeat out of repesct of Eli Manning.

    Answer:-I think he does.

yu darvish

  • Question:-Whats the deal with Yu Darvish and the Rangers? What are the odds they let him walk?
Have talks broken down with Darvish and the Rangers?

Does the Rangers interest in Prince Fielder indicate that the Rangers are going to let Yu walk?

What are the odds that they land both of these guys? and when the hell will we know?

Answer:-They will more than likely reach a deal with Darvish before the deadline next week they are disputing on years, the Rangers want a 6 year deal, Darvish wants a 5 year deal. It is less likely they will sign Fielder. Only time will tell where Fielder will sign in the next month.
    Go Yanks!
  • Question:-Is Yu Darvish arguably the best pitcher in the world right now?
I know most people would say that Japanese baseball is not as talented as American baseball but I still think Yu Darvish, only 24, could be really great in the US.
Look at his career stats- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu_Darvish

BQ: Do you see him leaving Japan to play baseball in the US? If so when and how much do you think he could get paid?

Answer:-He may be. It's hard to compare American vs. Japanese players.

I don't buy the conventional wisdom that American baseball is unilaterallly better than Japanese baseaball. I think there's more variation between the best and worst players in the Japanese leagues, but I think it's very close in talent level to MLB. Admittedly, though, it is hard to take a league seriously if it includes teams named the "Softbank Hawks" and the "Ham Fighters."

But Darvish has dominated that league. He's led the league in WHIPs for 4 years and ERA for the last two. And the man is only 24. He has a great future ahead of him.

BQ: I'm sure some MLB team will throw $70 million or so at him in the next few years. Maybe not the Red Sox, though, since they've been burned by Japanese pitchers in the past.
  • Question:-Who gets the $51.7-mill the Texas Rangers bid to secure negotiating rights to pitcher Yu Darvish?
Who gets the $51.7-mill the Texas Rangers bid to secure negotiating rights to pitcher Yu Darvish? Does his Japanese baseball team? The Japanese league?

Answer:-His previous team, the Nippon Ham Fighters (though I suspect the NPB league office skims a modest percentage).
  • Question:-Who will land Yu Darvish when he makes an inevitable move to the Majors in a few years and how good will he be?
I can't wait for Darvish to head to the Majors, even if he doesn't pitch for my guys. He's phenomenal to watch, and by the time he matures enough (basically the time he becomes a free agent) I think he'll be one of the best pitchers in the Major Leagues. Who will land him and how good will be?

Answer:-only someone with a big wallet, so..... the yankees or red sox more than likely.
  • Question:-Does Grady Sizemore and Yu Darvish make sense for the Washington Nationals?
Grady is the Leadoff CF the Nts desperately need and it looks like the Indians will let him go not to mention he has power and speed!

Are for Darvish, Strasburg needs a wingman in a bad way the best teams in baseball has 1-2 punches! I don't have to say much about his stuff!

Answer:-No and no. The Nationals are already over paying for one underproducing outfielder: Jayson Werth. They certainly don't need another albatross around their neck.

As for Darvish, he's a project. If he's signed, he'd likely have to spend a season or two in the minors as a starter or in short relief in the pros, see Aroldis Chapman, Kei Igawa. And when taking into accunt his posting price and his eventual contract, he's going to cost $100 million. He's not worth anything near that.

If you doubt Jordan Zimmerman can be a legit No. 2 starter, just wait and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how good he is.
  • Question:-Why did Japan use Yu Darvish at the 9th inning of Japans win over USA sunday?
I just thought this was wierd, 5 run lead in the 9th I would not use my star pitcher which could start on monday against korea. I also thought it was a bit wierd how they took Dice-K off after just 4 innings of good work. Do you think they will use darvish against korea as a relief in case Iwakuma fails?

Answer:-For the championship game, they are going to start Iwakuma. I also thought it was a little weird that they would put in Yu Darvish, when it was almost clear that Japan would win, and also with the fact that the next day is the championship game, which is itself more important. As the other answerer says, I also think this was for exposure.

I do not think it was weird at all how they took Dice-K off after 4 good innings, like you say. He threw the ball 98 times, and he was clearly showing some signs of fatigue, such as his arm position, if you looked closely. I think the Japanese management just wanted fresh arms.
  • Question:-When will it be announced who wins the negotiating right for Yu Darvish?
I believe posting ends Tuesday, so is the highest bidder announced then, Wednesday, or a later time?
    Correction, posting ends Wednseday evening.

Answer:-I think they have to the end of the week and then the Jape club has to decide whether they want to accept it or not, and if they do then the US club has 30 days to design him, or they lose the money for the bid.
  • Question:-What spot in the rotation will Texas Rangers Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish hold?
Do you think he will be the first starter or fifth or will he be on the AAA or AA squad to start the season....looking to get some good input. THANKS!

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Is Yu Darvish coming to America next year, and if so what teams will be going after him?
Probably a big market, big budget team, as in the Yanks, Redsox, Dodgers, Cubs or Angels.
lmao Kevin, ur answer is just amazing, one of the best answers I've seen on this site in a long time.

Answer:-Yep. It really sucks for small ball teams that teams can just go and sign him without having to draft him or anything.

I get the feeling Red Sox or Yanks will be the frontrunners for him.
  • Question:-Do you think Yu Darvish will fit in with the Texas Rangers?
"Fit in" as in will he adjust to Major League Baseball as he did with Japanese baseball?

    Answer:-

right to work

i need my nose smaller! does nose right work! only answer if you have tryed it! is it a scam or does it really work? if it does work........how long does it take for your nose to get smaller?

Answer:-Yes, it does work. However, don't expect to see results too soon. It takes about a week to notice even the smallest difference, and after a month you'll definitely see improvement. My brother wore one for about 3 months everyday for 15 minutes at night, and everyone asks him if he got plastic surgery :)
  • Question:-How many states now removed forced Union Dues- Right to Work states?
Its so great! What a great idea! I heard some union members pay out 8,000 a YEAR on dues! That mostly all go to pay for liberal campaigning!

It won't matter if Obama spent 2 billion campaigning, it won't change the fact Gas is doubled, food has doubled and 1 out 6 kids are starving in AMERICA, Won't change the fact most middle class family's income has dropped 10%, that most people now have to pay 8% more for health insurance. That people's values of their homes dropped significantly! People want a GOOD CHANGE, not a BAD ONE!
If I worked for Union and they took my money without my permission to give to liberal politicians! I would be so outraged! Think about all the money they will save now?

  • Question:-Is it not good to drink alcohol when trying to eat right, work out, and stay in shape?
I'm wanting to build more muscle and get sculpted. Does this mean I have to quit drinking alcohol?

Answer:-I don't think you have to totally stop drinking. Just be sensible. When you drink alcohol, it robs your body from valuable nutrients and fluids. When you do drink make sure you are thoroughly hydrated and drink a fruit smoothy or a juice such as V-8 to get some nutrients into your system.

Never drink alcohol while you are working out or exercising. Drink only water or a vitamin drink.

I have a friend in Taiwan. He received an e-mail signatured as United Nations several months ago. I am very worry about him and I'm afraid it could be a cheat. Is there anyone who knows about this? Thanks for your anwser.

  • Question:-Is there a absolute right work around for IE when using position in CSS?
It is very easy to use tables nad/or CSS to line up images on the left side of a screen. But when trying to line up images on the right side of the screen, neither will do it in IE. Basically, I have 6 images. They need to line up with no white space. The last two images need to line up on the right side of the screen and image 4 needs to stretch to connect the two groups of images giving the website a liquid feature. Tables will stretch the image IF you set the overall width. CSS would do this much better using absolute positioning yet IE ignores the "right" value.

    Answer:-Instead of position, use "float"

"float: right;" should do the trick

if 2 images need to be right, put them both in a div, and float the div to the right
    <div style="width: 100%">
    <div style="float: right">
    <img src=1 />
    <img src=2 />
    </div>
    <div style="float: right">
    <img src=3 />
    <img src=4 />
    </div>
    <div style="float: right">
    <img src=5 />
    <img src=6 />
    </div>
    <br style="clear: both" />
    </div>

you can't make an image "stretch", so I can't give you the solution, since I don't know what effect you're going for.

  • Question:-Why does Adobe Flash Player not work right on my computer after updating?
I've tried to update to version 10.1, 10.2, and now 10.3, but none of them work right. When I try to watch videos in 480p or 720p, it gets choppy and my web browser becomes sluggish until I leave the page or stop the video. I would really like to get a working update because the version I'm running has security issues. What can I do? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Answer:-Flash has tons of security issues and the updates do very little to fix them. Your browser becoming slow is because Adobe is known to not manage their application memory very well and just leave memory leaks in their technologies. The video playing in decreased quality is because Flash sucks at rendering HD video of anything over 480p. The best way to fix the problems is to not use Flash, which is easier said than done since everyone has become dependent on crappy technologies. Flash always has, and always will suck as a technology until Adobe finally realizes that it sucks and decides to fix it (which really isn't all that hard...they're just lazy and don't want to do what they get paid to do).

Why did John Elway refuse to go to the Baltimore Colts when they drafted him - even threatening to play baseball instead.

Did he have a grudge against the Colts or something?

    Answer:-See: Eli Manning

but add the fact that the Baltimore Colts had absolutly nothing going for them. No LT, no Gates..... nothing. Then take away the fact that Eli didn't have a 2nd sport to fall back on, just a famous dad & brother.

  • Question:-What is the value of a John Elway trading card?
1993 Edge Collectors Trading Card. John Elway with a two minute warning. Bronco's played Kansas City. The card is in Mint conditions. Kept in a case.

    Answer:-Not that much
If you go to beckett.com you can probablly fing the exact price.
His cards that are worth more now-a-days are his 1984 topps rookie card and any jersey or autograph card
  • Question:-How much would you pay for 100 John Elway, Troy Aikmen or Steve Young cards?
I have over 100 cards EACH of John Elway, Steve Young and Troy Aikmen, including some rookie cards.

How much should I sell them for and how much would you pay?

They are worth a ton but I don't think anyone is going to want to pay for them all.
Ok to avoid more answers like number 1 I have priced them in Beckett and know that many of them are worth $25.00 a piece. I know a lot about cards and their prices and where some are more valuable.
I was thinking about $100 per set.

But it seems hard knowing that the sets are more than that. I won't disclose the actual price but it is much higher.

The reason I am selling is to get some extra cash and I am strapped right now. We haven't had a card show in my town in a long time or I would likely try and sell them there.
Nearly every card is in great condition. Many are in excellent condition. Only a couple show some wear.

Answer:-It would depend on what condition they are in.

seattle weather

  • Question:-How serious are infrequent heart palpitations, the most recent followed by a near blackout?
I've had a few occurrences of heart palpitations (heart racing), but they are very infrequent. I've had them a couple of times while laying down resting, but I think I've only had that happen 2 or 3 times. Anyway, today I was at a birthday party where I was standing most of the time. At one point I felt my heart start to race and then things started going black. I was leaning against a wall, and tried to focus on taking deep breaths. After a couple of seconds I got my vision back, but I was seeing spots... and then a few seconds later I was fine. The other moms that I was talking to didn't even notice (I don't think). I was mostly thinking, "Don't fall down. Don't fall down." Because that would have been really embarrassing. Basically I'm wondering how serious this is? I'm an overweight 26 year-old non-smoking female with no other health problems. I used to drink a ton of diet soda, but I've recently cut back and now have maybe 1-2 caffeinated drinks per week. BUT today I happened to have TWO. I know caffeine can be a factor with heart palpitations.

Wikipedia says, "Actual blackouts or near blackouts, associated with palpitations, should be taken seriously because they often indicate the presence of important underlying heart disease."

Should I do something? I don't have health insurance. Or should I just avoid caffeine and eat as healthy as possible?

Answer:-Syncope is the term for 'fainting'. What you experienced is near syncope and it is a serious concern. Indeed the most common cause of sudden death in young people is a heart rhythm disturbance. That is why many schools, colleges, airports, and airplanes now have automatic electro defibrillators. The heart rate is an electrophysiologic phenomenon. Some people have heart muscle fibers that are 'irritable' or 'excitable'. If these are triggered the electric impulse passing through the heart your heart rate may immediately accelerate to 200 beats per minute or even more. This is referred to as a reentrant tachycardia. Reentrant tachycardias may occur in people whether or not they have palpitations. When the heart beats that fast there is not time for it to fill with blood so that the heart is not really pumping an adequate amount of blood to maintain your blood pressure. Weakness, lightheadedness, dizziness, and syncope may result. A near syncopal episode always requires evaluation by a physician to determine whether or not you are at risk for sudden death. I would take this very seriously until your physician has determined otherwise. Caffeine is not likely to be an issue here. I very much like wikepedia and I am a contributing writer. If you need additional information please contact me at johnerussomd@jhu.edu. I wish you the very best of health and may God Bless.

kelsey grammer

  • Question:-How would you describe Kelsey Grammer's voice on Frasier?
What's the precise term for speaking in the way that Kelsey Grammer does on Frasier?

Just as an Irish accent can be described as a brogue or a southern accent as a drawl, there has to be some specific term. I've seen Frasier's kind of voice described as a "mannered patois," but that's not exactly right.

    Answer:-Kelsey Grammer
    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/

    Vocal characteristics:

  • Question:-

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Is Kelsey Grammer going to have his network on soon?
I think he is going to really help the republicans split from the conservatives. I think conservatives would like his Northern snobby way of speaking & he is actually very liberals just as Mass. Scott Brwon has proven to be. So I am very curios as to who will leave the loud, nervous listening that come with Rush & Fox to the debonaire sound of Mr. Grammer. I think it is going to be a real split in the party.

Answer:-Please send me a note when it happens. I'm listening.
  • Question:-Did Kelsey Grammer ever work with his ex-wife Camille on any of the episodes of Frasier?
Because she resembles a lady that was on the show briefly that played the Station Manager. But thought maybe it was her but looks like she may have over did it with the plastic surgery. Just wondering??

Answer:-According to the Internet Movie database, Camille Grammer was in only one episode of the TV show Frasier in which she played a guest at a costume party.

The station manager was played by Mercedes Ruehl..
  • Question:-Anyone know what kind of dog was on the TV show Frasier with Kelsey Grammer?
I know it is some type of terrier but don't know what kind...Thanks

Answer:-He was a Jack Russel Terrier!
  • Question:-Kelsey Grammer will play a Chicago pol in the new series "Boss." What roles will go to David Hyde Pierce, Peri?
Gilpin, Jane Leeves, and John Mahoney?

Answer:-He's not likely to bring his former costars from 5 years ago with him to an entirely new show.
  • Question:-Is Charlie Sheen the highest paid TV actor? How much did Kelsey Grammer get for Fraiser?
How about Ted Danson in Cheers? How about Tim Allen in Tool Time? How about the ladies? What kind of salaries do the big name female performers such as Roseanne in Roseanne get? Is there a web site that lists this? I wonder about some of the the old shows like MASH? Suzanne Somers was fired for asking for too much. How much is too much?

Answer:-Here's the list of the highest paid TV actors in 2010. The big money on television these days seems to be in reality TV. Personality Ryan Seacrest will earn $15 million for making fun of amateur singers on American Idol this year, while Judge Judy will bring home $45 million to intimidate people from the bench. However, there are still some actors in scripted shows still making a serious income.

Charlie Sheen ("Two and a Half Men") $1.25 million per episode. Sheen's tabloid antic do not seem to have had a negative effect on his paycheck. He is, in fact, the only star of a scripted TV show to pull in a seven figure check this year.

Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men") $550,000 per episode. Most of the highest paid actors are from the immensely popular police procedural genre. The most noticeable exceptions to the rule are the top two spots on our list, which go to these sitcom stars
    .
Hugh Laurie ("House") $400,000+ per episode. The medical genius at the heart of House remains as popular as he is cantankerous.

The "Desperate Housewives" cast (Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker) tie with "The Simpsons" (Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner) at $400,000 per episode, proving that suburban comedies remain winning formulas
    .
Christopher Meloni & Mariska Hargitay ("Law & Order: SVU") $395,000 per episode (each). Now in its eleventh year, "Law & Order: SVU" is the highest rated of the Law & Order franchise.

Tied at $375,000 per episode: David Caruso ("CSI: Miami"), Marg Helgenberger ("CSI"), and Mark Harmon ("NCIS"). Procedurals score big, as seen through the three actors tied for number six.

Tina Fey ("30 Rock") $350,000 per episode. "30 Rock" had a shaky start. The show was critically acclaimed, but took some time to catch on with audiences. The show gradually gained popularity, however, and now its star and creator stands at number seven on the highest paid list, along with Jeremy Piven ("Entourage"), Laurence Fishburne ("CSI"), Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer"), and Denis Leary ("Rescue Me").

When Steve Carell leaves "The Office" next year, he'll be walking away from a $297,000 per episode salary. Carell says that he is not holding out for a better salary, but that he feels that, during his seven years on the show, the character has run its course.

Gary Sinise ("CSI: NY") $275,000 per episode. Actors from all three "CSI" series made the list. Sinese plays the troubled leader of the "CSI:NY" team, but we think the actor sleeps better than the character he plays with the comfort of his six-figure payday.

Patrick Dempsey ("Grey's Anatomy") and Angus T. Jones ("Two and a Half Men") - $250,000 per episode. The ladies love Dempsey as "McDreamy," and producers reward him with a $250K paycheck. Jones' salary makes him the highest paid child actor on television.

so you see it is easy to do a web search and find out.
