• Question:-Pre-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Gary Oldman & Helena Bonham Carter together in a movie?
Before Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (why does David Yates keep murdering the books??), have Gary Oldman and Helena Bonham Carter acted together in a movie before? I'm just curious because they're two of my favourite actors. It's hard to believe that Oldman does not enjoy acting as he used to (his roles are not as intense & dark as they used to be ten years ago).

Answer:-I just looked; all that came up was "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" itself, an episode of "HBO First Look" which was about "Order of the Phoenix", and "The Hidden Secrets of Harry Potter", a made-for-TV documentary about, yep, "Order of the Phoenix" (though it may actually be about the HP movies in general). Nothing else.
• Question:-Why in the name of Jack Buck is Gary Carter in the Hall of Fame?

  Answer:-I couldn't agree more.

Carter is one of those guys who put together a nice career, then played for a while in a large market where he won the World Series while being very photogenic and freindly, all of which helped him garner a great deal of support after his retirement.

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to the HOF, and I don't like anyone who causes people to say, "Well, if so and so is in the Hall of Fame, then this guy should be in." Carter, unfortunately, is one of those "so and so" guys who drag down the general level of achievement needed for Hall induction. It's one thing if he'd been voted in by the Veterans Committee, but it's crazy that he was allowed in by the regular group of writers.

Carter was a good catcher who had some decent offensive years, but his low OBP is unimpressive. He obviously had some power, but that was offset by his inability to reach base regularly on anything other than a home run. Carter deserves credit for being one of the best at his position for a while in the NL, but that shouldn't mean a plaque for him in Cooperstown.
• Question:-How do teachers help Gary Edwards and other carter players get around the no pass no play rule?
Another question need an answer to friday night lights

Answer:-well i don't know! :-) go read the book lol jk
• Question:-How in the "H" word did Gary Carter wesseal his way into the Hall of Fame?!?
Career avg. 262, 324 home runs, 292 hits,1225 RBIs and 39 stolen bases. He was barley an average player and he IS the WORST player in the Hall of Fame!!

Answer:-Oh, Carter isn't nearly the least player in the Hall.

Position matters, and Carter was a catcher. He was the premier catcher in the game for most of his career. That doesn't proclaim Hall-worthiness in large, friendly letters, but it does measure up, just enough.
• Question:-Why did they call former Mets catcher, Gary Carter, " The Kid"?

Answer:-Because he had a "rebirth" in NY. He came to the Mets later in his career, his glory days in his prime played in Montreal. When he came to the Mets he was old in baseball terms, but even improved in some areas of his game. The NY papers, hence, started to refer to him as "The Kid" (re-found youth, etc........). Back in the late 80's, when Gregg Jeffries came up with the club, they referred to him as "The Kid II", unfortunately, his career never panned out.
• Question:-Did Gary Carter dye his hair for the pre-ASG tribute?
He looked gray and pudgy during the softball game I thought...

Answer:-I think he was using that just for men stuff.
• Question:-Is pinch hitting Gary Matthews Jr for Chris Carter a good decision?

Answer:-Yes, Chris Carter is having a good season so far with his .308 avg and is playing better than Matthews Jr. The mets need any type of spark they can get.

derek fisher

• Question:-Derek Fisher?
Should Derek Fisher act more like a point guard and try to get more assists instead of taking so many shots?

Answer:-it's not his job to get a ton of assists, in the triangle anyone can get assists thats why Kobe, Odom, Pau avg around 4 assists a game. And now that Turiaf has been starting he is getting assists too thats just how the team works. Kobe and Odom are great ball handlers and work well gettin Dfish open for 3's in the corner.
• Question:-Derek fisher?
do you think that kobe will be happy now and will stay with the lakers now that derek is back on his team and help out?

Answer:-Well kobe wanted j-kidd really badly so he should want derek fisher. he will be able dish the ball to kobe so he should be happy. But kobe is pretty selfish so he still wants out. But if he does not, he'll say to himself "well we did get derek back"
• Question:-Who is the most valuable player on the Lakers, Pau Gasol or Derek Fisher?
RC Dude is right - Derek Fisher doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's one of the most underrated players in the game's history.

  Answer:-None. Kobe is.
• Question:-Is Derek Fisher to Kobe what Scottie Pippen was to Michael Jordan?
I mean do you think Derek Fisher is Kobe's sidekick? Is he the reason Kobe has won 5 rings in the last 11 years? Without Derek Fisher would the Lakers still be a successful franchise?

Answer:-A more accurate comparison for Fisher would be with John Paxson and/or Steve Kerr.
• Question:-Should Derek Fisher get all the credit for Kobe Bryant being the player he is today?
Can I get a hell yeah!

Derek Fisher was the only player who could put up with Kobes spoiled attitude in his younger days no one else on the Lakers liked him but Derek Fisher was willing to gain a friendship with Kobe and they won 5 rings together. Once Fisher left Kobe missed the playoffs followed by twice not being able to get out of the first round while Fisher led the Jazz to the Western Conference Finals. And suddenly Derek Fisher returns and the Lakers make the finals.

  Answer:-Game 3 NBA Finals... Kobe bryant - 10/29 FG - 29 pts

Derrick Fisher saves the day by scoring the last 4 of 5 buckets. to seal the win. he had 16pts

Doc rivers talking about Fisher on game 3 below

Bryant had 25 points after three quarters, but he did not score for the first 10 minutes of the fourth. That’s when Fisher took over, hitting four out of five Lakers baskets to help them reclaim the home-court advantage they lost when the Celtics won Game 2 in L.A.

“Derek Fisher was the difference in the game,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “He’s just a gutty, gritty player and he gutted the game out for them. I thought Kobe was struggling a little bit, and Fisher—he basically took the game over.
• Question:-Did the Ref miss the called on the Derek Fisher jump shot?
The ref missed the called, the Derek Fisher jump shot, right before the no called on Barry. Derek Jump shot clearly hit the rimp and the Lakers should have the clock reset but the ref missed and lead to the ref now famous no called on Barry 3 pointers. The game shoulda been over and then theirs no Barry attempting 3 pointers and no controversies. Did Derek Fisher hit the rimp?
Thank you Chris your a smart man, that's what I'm asking not the Barry foul.

Answer:-You guys are talking about the Brent Barry call, asker is asking about Derek fisher's shot that bounced off of Horry's knee and gave us the possession w/o a reset shotclock. No, it was not an airball and we should have had a full shotclock. You can clearly see the ball's trajectory changing from hitting the rim. If that had happened, the Brent Barry foul wouldn't have mattered.
• Question:-How could Jazz fans be so insensitive to Derek Fisher?
How could Jazz fans boo Derek Fisher after he helped them in that game last year when he flew from New York and played right after his daughter's surgery? His daughter was sick! Robert Horry left the Lakers and signed with the Spurs because he wanted to be closer to his family in Houston because his daughter is also very sick, but Laker fans never boo him when he plays against the Lakers, in fact they all cheer. Does anyone else think the Jazz fans are being disrespectful to someone who did his best to help his team when he played there?

Answer:-NBA fans may not be aware of this but the Utah Jazz fans are one of the most harsh for opposing players. I think we stereotype people in Utah as all Mormons & they are very calm people. That's the total opposite when it comes to sports.
• Question:-How many D-league pg's would be an upgrade over Derek Fisher?
Derek Fisher has no excuse playing in the NBA; let alone playing for a proud franchise like the Lakers.

  Retire old man!
Dimes- oh yeah, we should give D-Fish a lifetime contract for what he accomplished 3 years ago. Why not pull Robert Horry and Rick Fox out of retirement too?

Answer:-Hey just watch some videos of fisher saving laker's sorry @ss from losing.
• Question:-Is Derek Fisher doing anything significant for the Lakers?
wellllll, derek fisher's a great point guard. he has a high basketball I.Q.. but it seems to me like he's kinda getting old. hes not shooting much, he's not passing a lot, and he cant seem to keep up with the faster guys.

just want your guy's opinions on this.

Answer:-Is Derek Fisher doing anything significant for the Lakers.???.!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING.???? How could you say that.???

Derek Fisher is the 2nd leader behind Kobe and the "GLUE" of the team.!!!!!

eli manning

• Question:-Eli Manning?
Was anyone else suprised to see the command Eli had over his offense yesterday??? Eli looked like a savvy vet!! Will we see this Eli Manning or the one that chokes this weeked againest the Cowboys?

Answer:-Eli will choke. I hate to say that, I do feel bad for Eli always living in big brothers shadow. He has talent but will never be as good as peyton. I do belive he tries his best every down and you can not fault him for that.
• Question:-eli manning?
does anybody know exactly why eli manning refused to play for the chargers

Answer:-he didnt think the franchise was going in the right direction and management weren't there to win
• Question:-Eli manning?
do you think eli manning is good this year

Answer:-NO he is worst than last year.
• Question:-ELI MANNING!!?!?!!?!?!?
Damn i didnt expect eli manning to be playing this good. This guy is playing like a top 5 qb. if he stays consistent then he will for sure be better than rivers... dont you agree?

  Answer:-i agree
• Question:-Eli Manning is going to be the highest paid player in the game?
Why? The Giants are going to give Eli a mega payday just because his DEFENSE won him the Super Bowl? And people think he's better than Peyton, wow. Eli Manning is the most overrated quarterback in todays game. Probably the most overrated player in todays game...

What is your opinion on this?

BQ: Do you think Eli is better than Peyton?
Lol, who goes by Madden 2009 if a player if good?

Answer:-Eli Manning. I'm sure glad my Chargers decided to trade for Phillip Rivers! Eli Manning is, like you said, one of the most overrated players in the NFL today, and possibly in the history of the NFL too! His defense won him 3 playoff games and a Super Bowl. His defense got him past the Packers with the interception in overtime. Peyton is one of the greatest there is and Eli is just walking in Peyton's shadow. The catch that David Tyree made against his head in the Super Bowl should not, and would not have happened with a decent QB, because Tyree should never have been in the position to make that kind of catch if it was a well thrown ball. Whenever Eli throws a ball it just kinda wobbles out of his hand and is quite off target from his receivers. Only the good receivers can control the football so Eli generally ends up with a low completions percentage. Eli's porousness was exposed when Plaxico was gone and none of his receivers could catch what he was throwing. Eli will be re-exposed this season without anybody to throw to that has hands like Plax did.

BQ: NO! Look up to see explanation.
• Question:-How much is a autographed picture of eli manning?
My friend from school got a picture of eli manning because he wrote to him.and he got a autographed picture. And i was gonna buy it from him.

Answer:-According to eBay, about $50. There are a couple of signed pictures on there going for about the same amount, although there are one or two similar items going for only about $10. If I were you, I'd check out the prices on eBay for a while, and then figure out what price range is reasonable to you.
• Question:-Should i start Eli manning vs Detroit lions or tom brady vs Baltimore Ravens?
Fantasy Football. Should I start Eli Manning against Detroit lions or Tom Brady against Baltimore Ravens. Eli looks like he's getting better and Tom Brady just got Deion Branch back.

Answer:-Eli Manning without a doubt. The Giants Defense is projected on every fantasy site as a top 3 start this week at home. If Megatron doesn't play (which is looking like a strong possibility) they won't have a chance. Think of what that Giants defense did to Cutler and the Bears. Eli is going to be on the field a lot more than Brady.
• Question:-Should I start Eli Manning over Brett Favre in Week one of Fantasy Football?
Eli Manning plays today against the Redskins defense who he struggled against last year. Brett Favre is growing old but is still playing a defense who struggled last year. (Miami)

Answer:-Eli. He's in a better spot this week in that he's familiar with the system and recievers and Favre still hasn't shown a comfort level with the Jets O.
• Question:-Who agrees with me that the individual who asked a bad comment about Eli Manning got emotional problems?
WHo agrees that the person who wrote that negative question about ELI Manning and I wont't repeat out of repesct of Eli Manning.

  Answer:-I think he does.
• Question:-Should I start Eli Manning or Tony Romo?
Eli Manning is listed as probable for today's game against Arizona. But I have Tony Romo as a backup QB. Should I stick with Manning or go with Romo for my matchup today?

Answer:-I would go with Romo. He's going to look awesome against the Falcons defense and could rack up at least 275 passing yards this week.

  Hope this helps.
